Shared by Dominic β€’ November 13, 2023

I'm particularly excited to share this update - our biggest upgrade to form styling since we introduced the theme designer just 1 year ago.

If you make client-facing forms or need a consistent brand image, these changes will have an immediate impact.

Let us know what you think here!

πŸ“Š Customizable progress bar

Boost conversion rates with a custom progress bar.

You choose which pages belong to which steps. Respondents can even click the progress bar to go back to previous pages.

🎨 Custom CSS

Custom CSS is now supported at the theme-level, so you can define your CSS in one place across multiple forms.

We also introduced stable class names to make CSS easier to write - more details here.

πŸ–ΌοΈ Advanced form designer

Get fancy with the advanced designer. Customize input rounding, form width, button types, padding and more.

⚑️ 2x faster load times

Fillout forms now open roughly twice as fast. We're continuing to improve performance in the coming weeks - stay tuned!

β™Ώ Accessibility improvements

We've made a number of improvements to make field inputs and validation messages more accessible to screen readers.

🎫 Share form with a QR code

Head to the share tab to generate a unique QR code for your form.

πŸ› Fixes and improvements

  • Added the option to send a receipt with the Stripe payment integration.
  • Added support for filtering record pickers with the Monday integration.
  • Improved navigation between form submissions on the results page, including support for arrow keys.
  • Added "Other" option for the dropdown field type.
  • Added the option to access the number of selected linked records in logic and answer piping.

Fillout Launch Week Day 5 ✨ Workspaces v2 (now free) and multi-account support

Dominic avatar
Shared by Dominic β€’ October 20, 2023

It's the last day of Fillout Launch Week. We hope you've enjoyed following along 😊

For our last launch, we tackled one of the most frequent complaints about Fillout: managing lots of forms or multiple accounts.

πŸ—‚οΈ Workspaces are now free

Workspaces are like folders - an easy way to organize your forms.

We overhauled workspaces and made them available on all plans, including the free tier. Let us know what you think of the new layout!

πŸ‘― Join multiple organizations

If you're a freelancer or consultant working with multiple clients, you'll likely want to create separate Fillout organizations for each.

You can now join multiple organizations with the same email. Plus, easily switch between them in one click.

βš™οΈ Granular permissions (premium)

Fillout now supports adding collaborators to specific workspaces and with read-only access. This is a good way to make sure that only the right people can make changes to your forms.

That's a wrap for Launch Week! Let us know what your favorite update was or if you have any feedback on how we can improve Fillout.

Fillout Launch Week Day 4 ✨ Import your Google Forms

Dominic avatar
Shared by Dominic β€’ October 19, 2023

Welcome to Day 4 of Fillout Launch Week.

Today's launch is a bit different. Instead of adding new features, we wanted to make it easier to get started with Fillout in the first place.

Introducing the Google Form Importer: https://www.fillout.com/google-forms-customizer

You've almost certainly heard of Google Forms - it's the most popular form builder with over 1 billion users. Our new tool makes it quick and easy to import an existing Google Form into Fillout.

πŸ‘‰ Getting started

First, connect your Google Forms account and choose the form you want to import.

That's it! If you don't have a Fillout account, you don't even need to sign up to see the end result.

We also made specific pages for features that Fillout supports that Google Forms does not, like adding a signature field, protecting your form with CAPTCHA, accepting payments and 17 others.

Let us know what you think if you try it out and stay tuned for our final Launch Week update tomorrow on LinkedIn or Twitter.

Fillout Launch Week Day 3 ✨ Fully customized links

Dominic avatar
Shared by Dominic β€’ October 18, 2023

Welcome to Day 3 of Fillout Launch Week.

Today, we're introducing a way to fully customize your form links - for free!

πŸ”— Choose a share link "subdomain"

By default, Fillout form links look like "forms.fillout.com/t/sKWfR8LJnous".

That works if you're embedding the form or sharing it internally.

But if you're sharing the link with clients or prospects, you'll want to make the link look on-brand.

Starting today, you can choose a pretty URL, like "mybrand.fillout.com", even on the free plan.

If you want a fully white-labelled link, connect your own custom domain on the business tier.

🎨 Custom endings

Once you've chosen a subdomain or connected a custom domain, you can choose a "custom ending" for any form.

For example, you might make the URL of a holiday RSVP form end with "holiday-event".

If you want to customize the link preview that appears when sharing a link on social media, you can do that too.

That's all for today! Stay tuned for the next Launch Week update tomorrow on LinkedIn or Twitter.

Launch Week Day 2 ✨ A new way to send forms and track submissions

Dominic avatar
Shared by Dominic β€’ October 17, 2023

Welcome to Day 2 of Fillout Launch Week.

Today, we're introducing a new way to share and track your Fillout forms.

πŸ“ Request form submission by email

Say you need to collect event RSVPs from everyone on your team.

From the Fillout "share" tab, just press Send by email. You can customize the email message and who it goes out to.

Your respondents will receive a formatted email, based on your form's theme.

They can come back to the form at any time and from any device.

πŸ“¦ Track completions

Each form is automatically linked to the person it was sent to.

You'll know which response belongs to whom and who still needs to complete the form - no need to ask for an email address.

πŸ“† Automatic reminders (coming soon)

If you need the form filled out by a certain day, set a deadline and enable automatic reminders. Reminders will go out to those who haven't completed the form ahead of the deadline.

⚑️ Automate workflows with Zapier

You can also trigger a form to send from Zapier. For example, send a feedback form when a customer unsubscribes from your service.

That's all for today! Stay tuned for the next Launch Week update tomorrow on LinkedIn or Twitter.

Dominic avatar
Shared by Dominic β€’ October 16, 2023

Today is day 1 of Fillout’s first ever Launch Week. Each day this week, we’re announcing a major new set of capabilities in Fillout.

Today's theme is powerful email workflows. With these new features, you can automate sending personalized emails directly from your forms - and a whole lot more.

πŸ“« Send a response summary and edit link

Automatically send respondents a formatted summary of their response upon form submission, even on the free plan.

Optionally include an edit link to let your users update their response later on from their email inbox.

🎨 Respondent emails include logo and theme

Respondent notification emails automatically respect your form's theme and, on premium plans, include your organization's logo.

✨ New integrations: SendGrid, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign

We've added 3 native integrations with the most popular email tools.

Use SendGrid to send fully customized emails upon form submission.

Or, create and update contacts in Klaviyo and ActiveCampaign and add custom tags based on the form submission.

πŸ“© Send multiple custom emails, conditionally

The Fillout Pro+ plans now support adding multiple custom respondent emails per form.

You can send emails conditionally, e.g. only when someone chooses a particular option. Learn more here.

πŸ“¦ New "Send response" field

Add this new field type to a form ending page to give users the option to save a copy of their submission.

Optionally include an edit button in the email let users edit their response later on.

That's all for today! Stay tuned for the next Launch Week update tomorrow on LinkedIn or Twitter.

Integrations, integrations, integrations ✨

Dominic avatar
Shared by Dominic β€’ August 18, 2023

We kicked off August with one focus - form integrations. We want Fillout to work seamlessly with the tools you use today - and any you might use in the future.

Here are the 3 newest integrations and a few upgrades to make existing connections more powerful πŸ‘‡

πŸ—‚οΈ Sync file uploads to Dropbox

The new Fillout + Dropbox integration lets you decide exactly where you store uploaded files, with dynamic folder and file names.

Learn more here or give the integration a spin in-app.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Add multiple integrations of the same type

For example, add two Dropbox integrations to save different file uploads to different folders or even entirely different Dropbox accounts.

Note that database integrations, like Airtable or Notion, are still limited to 1 per form. Let us know if you have a use case for multiple DB integrations!

πŸ₯³ "What's new" page

We now have a changelog with the latest Fillout updates. You can also catch up on new releases in the "news" tab of our Intercom support chat.

πŸ’Ό HubSpot integration

The new Hubspot integration lets you create or update contacts from a Fillout form.

Options are automatically synced, so your forms work out-of-the-box. More details here.

πŸ“† Calendly improvements

The Calendly integration now returns the scheduled event's "uuid". This unlocks powerful workflows, as demoed by friend of Fillout Gareth Pronovost in this video.

⚑️ Monday.com integration

Last but not least, Fillout now integrates natively with Monday, one of the most popular project management tools. Get started here.

πŸ› Fixes and improvements

  • Added the option to limit file upload sizes.
  • Fixed issue of location coordinates not working in form embeds.
  • Home page is now accessible on mobile devices.
  • Improved validation handling for form "sections".

Multi-page forms just got faster. There's now zero wait time between form page transitions.

This was a big behind-the-scenes change. We're excited to hear how it improves your conversion rates!

Need to resubmit an existing response?

Open a submission in Fillout and click "Edit submission" to open a pre-filled update form. Re-submitting the form will also rerun any integrations.

You can now pass information from parent to child forms. Check out a demo video here, from no-code expert Dan Leeman.

πŸ“ͺ Send emails to multiple addresses

Your can now send custom respondent emails to multiple email addresses.
