Occupancy Solution View Calculations just got even more accurate!

For Occupancy customers, the "How well utilized was each space type" visualisation found in the Occupancy Solution View has been upgraded and now gives you even more granular data to make more impactful decisions.

"Average hourly utilization" now automatically adjusts your data to ensure occupancy data is not calculated incorrectly as a result of offline sensors, or sensors that do not report occupancy events for prolonged periods (such as overnight).

But wait....there's more! 🎉

We have also upgraded the calculations found in the "Hourly utilization chart" when a Space Type has been selected. This chart now more accurately calculates maximum occupancy using a 15 minute period rather than within a 1 hour period. This has been introduced based on customer feedback to accurately reflect room occupancy even if people are using the space for shorter windows of time

For example, If the capacity of a room is 4 people and the room was being used by 1 person at 12:00 for 15 minutes (25% occupancy) and by another 1 person at 12:45 for 15 minutes (25% occupancy), your maximum occupancy for the hour of 12:00 to 13:00 will be displayed as 25%.
