Another month, another edition of 'In the spotlight' - your regular roundup of the latest Rotaready product updates and insights. Here's what we've been up to:

Email address management improvements

Two small but useful changes to how email addresses work in Rotaready:

• Full access users can now update any employee's email address from their profile, even after the account has been activated. No more contacting support!
• A security notification is now sent to both the old and new email address whenever a change is made, whoever makes it

Irish financial details — now on mobile

Irish employees can now submit their financial details through the Rotaready mobile app, both during onboarding and when updating their own information. Employees at Irish-jurisdiction entities will be prompted for the right details automatically:

• IBAN - validated to the correct format and confirmed as a legitimate account number
• PPSN - the Irish equivalent of a UK National Insurance number, validated on entry

Irish bank holiday entitlements

Irish employees can now automatically receive their correct bank holiday entitlement when a day is signed off, either an extra day's pay or an additional day's holiday, depending on how your account is configured.

💬 These features aren't enabled by default - just get in touch if you'd like to turn them on.

⭐️ Product spotlight: Absence calendar

The Absence Calendar gives managers a visual, at-a-glance view of who's off, when, and across which parts of the business, so you can plan cover confidently and avoid being caught short.

Switch between month, week, and day views to see as much or as little detail as you need, and filter by status, job role, staff group, absence type, or requester to focus on what matters most.

• See who's off across multiple locations in a single view. No more switching back and forth!
• Review absence requests with full context across your chosen sites and departments
• Identify patterns and busy periods early, before they cause gaps in your rota
• Filter by absence type to keep track of specific leave categories across locations
