Content Updates - October'26

Hi there,

As of OCTOBER 1, 2026, we're making two changes to the SkillCat app.

1. Commercial HVAC courses are now in one category
All Commercial HVAC courses are now grouped in a single Commercial HVAC category, located directly above Theory Based Courses.

2. Four Trade Career Launch Programs are temporarily unavailable
The following programs have been removed from the app while we make improvements:

• Commercial HVAC
• Maintenance
• HVAC Theory
• Appliance Theory

These programs will return with updated content. We'll notify you when they're available again.

Your certifications
Certifications for any courses you completed in these programs are still saved in your portfolio. To learn how to view them, see the article HERE.

Continuing your training

• If you're looking for your first HVAC job: HVAC JobReady covers the skills employers look for in entry-level technicians. Start HVAC JobReady HERE.
• If you're already working in the field: Scroll to the Commercial HVAC category and take the courses you need individually.

Note for businesses: This change does not affect companies that assign these learning plans to their technicians or students. Assigned learning plans remain available as usual.
