SurgeTK Release Notes - October 14, 2026
This release is about the Surge calendar, the Net Worth report and Redtail. Multi-Select on the Surge calendar now takes a whole day or a whole week in one click. Net Worth account rows name the custodian. A firm that syncs with Redtail can restore every deleted contact at once and start its sync over. Insurance policies now follow household access, like the rest of SurgeTK.
Most of what follows is live for every firm and happens on its own. Restore all is a button for Admins and does nothing until one clicks it. A Net Worth row names a custodian only when the account has one, so an account with none reads as before. A saved snapshot or a Surge packet already generated keeps its old labels until you build it again.
Select a whole day or a whole week on the Surge calendar
In Calendar Mode, Multi-Select can now take every meeting on a day or in a week in one click.
Day handles. With Multi-Select on, every day that has meetings gets a round handle beside its date, in the month grid and in the column headings of the week view. One click selects every linked household with a meeting that day. A second click clears them.
Week pills. In the month view, every row gets a “Week” pill in its first cell. It selects or clears the seven days of that row. On a phone the pill shrinks to its icon.
The handle shows what is selected. An empty handle means none of its households are selected, a minus means some, and a filled handle means all. Hover over a handle to see the day or week it covers. Its label names the day or week and the count, such as “Select Tuesday, October 6 (2 households)” or “Clear the week of October 4 (3 households)”.
Unlinked meetings are skipped. A meeting not yet linked to a household cannot go into a packet, so a day or week select leaves it out and a message says how many meetings were skipped. A day with only unlinked meetings shows a disabled handle.
Select week is a week view control. The toolbar’s Select week button now shows in the week view, where it adds the rest of that week to your selection. It never clears a selection. In the month view, use the Week pills.
Selecting does not add meetings. With Multi-Select on, clicking an empty slot or dragging across the grid does nothing. Leave Multi-Select to add meetings again.
The 20-household limit is shown as you select. When the selection passes the limit for one Prepare run, the Selected households card says how many to remove, such as “Packets can be prepared for 20 households at a time. Remove 3 to continue.”
Net Worth rows name the custodian
Each account row on the Net Worth report now reads custodian, account type, then the last 4 digits of the account number.
“Fidelity | Traditional IRA | 1234” replaces “Traditional IRA - 1234”. The custodian is the one picked on the account, or the one a sync or an import recognized. Amounts, totals and columns do not change.
An account with no custodian reads as before. When the Custodian is not set, or is Other, SurgeTK prints the custodian name as it arrived from your CRM or import file. When there is none, the row starts with the account type. To add one, open the account from the household’s Accounts tab, set the Custodian on the Details tab, and open the report again.
A custodian is printed once. A Redtail account type that already names it, such as “Schwab IRA”, is not prefixed again. An account with no account number prints without the dash and the digits.
Physical assets, life insurance and liabilities are unchanged.
Reports pick up the change on their own. A Net Worth report rebuilds its rows every time it is opened. A saved snapshot or a Surge packet already generated keeps its old labels. Build the packet again to pick them up.
Insurance follows your household access
Insurance policies now follow the same household access as the rest of SurgeTK.
Who this applies to. A lead advisor set to Limited or Self Only, and an assistant linked only to such advisors. Admins, lead advisors with access to all households, team members and the assistants of those lead advisors see every policy in the firm, as before.
The Insurance tab and the policy window. You see the policies of the households you can open, plus policies not yet linked to any household. Creating or editing a policy needs write access to its household.
Fix Insurance. In the Unlinked Insurance window, a policy can be linked only to a client whose household you can open. For any other household, the row’s Link button and Bulk link both answer “You do not have access to link insurance to this household.” A client who has no household yet can be linked only by a user whose access covers the whole firm, because linking creates the household.
Restore all deleted Redtail contacts
A firm that syncs with Redtail can clear its whole Deleted contacts list in one click and start the sync over.
When to use it. Since the October 3 release, a Redtail contact you delete in SurgeTK stays deleted through every sync. That protects your household list. It also means a firm that deletes its households to rebuild them from Redtail with new Sync Filters needs to clear the deleted list first. Restore all does that in one step.
Find it in Sync Filters. Go to Settings > Integrations > Redtail, then Sync Filters. The Deleted contacts card shows a Restore all button when the list has more than one contact. Only Admins can restore.
What it does. Click Restore all and confirm. Every contact comes off the list and a full sync is queued, so your next sync re-reads every Redtail contact and your Sync Filters decide who comes back. The footer of the window then reads “A full sync is queued”, so you do not need to tick “Re-read every contact”. Restoring does not start the sync. Run a sync when you are ready.
Restore all waits for a running sync or import. The button is unavailable while a sync runs. A restore sent while one is running is refused with a message that names it, such as “A Redtail sync is in progress. Wait for it to finish, then restore the deleted contacts.” Nothing on the list changes.
Start over with Redtail. To rebuild your households from Redtail with new filters: delete the households, set your Sync Filters, click Restore all, then run a sync. The Help Center article Syncing with Redtail has the steps.
Zoho is unchanged. Zoho has no deleted contacts list.
Smaller fixes
Packet Contents keeps your order. In the Packet Contents window, the order you set by dragging now stays when you tick or untick a value add, or upload or delete a PDF. A value add you untick leaves the list, and one you tick is added at the bottom. This applies on the Surge page and in Calendar Mode.
Special characters print as typed on the Net Worth report. A custodian or account name with a “<” or “&” in it prints as typed.
