Based on feedback from customers like you, improvements and new functionality are on their way to make it easy to manage enrollment for your program. Read on for details about what’s coming and when you can expect these changes!

🌟 Going live mid November:

• Simplified Admissions Packet Creation: Easily create admissions packets (formerly known as admissions processes) by simply naming the packet and adding forms. Guidance is included for each step!
• Improved Progress Tracking: See which forms are completed or still in progress at a glance in a Student profile page.

🌟 Going live early December:

• Seamless Packet Sharing and Reviewing: Share admissions packets with families via a link, and preview what they’ll see before sending.
• One-Flow Completion: Prospective families can fill out all forms in one flow, making it faster than ever for families to complete applications and for you to review completed applications.
• Form Templates: Add pre-created form templates directly to your packet and customize as needed to get started more quickly!

These updates are designed to make establishing and managing enrollment quick and simple, so you can focus on delivering a better experience for your families and students. Stay tuned—more improvements are just around the corner!

• Get daily claimed meal count for CACFP reimbursements with a few simple clicks in the new CACFP daily claimed meals report
• Quickly view attendance data in the format that is best for you with our new absences and hours present reports, or print blank attendance sheets to leave out in rooms at your program.
• Easily view student information in the new student details report, and print out student emergency information cards to leave in classrooms.
• Keep a pulse on enrollment and waitlists with our new program waitlist, program enrollment, and room enrollment reports.
• Stay on top of all bill plan details with the new Bill Plans report

🌟 Enhancements to existing reports. We also made important changes to existing reports based on your feedback. Notably, you can now view Charge category in the billing Deposits report, so you can easily identify the specific charges included in a payout.

🌟 A new look and feel. Finally, we refreshed our reports landing page with a new navigation and updated categories to make it easier to find the report you need.

We recently released a new role, Staff Without Parent Messaging, to give you more control over your staff's brightwheel experience.

Staff members with this role can access functionality in brightwheel, including activities and staff messages, but will not be able to view or send messages to parents.

Big updates to attendance tracking are here that make it easier to understand and manage your attendance data.

Here's what changed:

• Error flagging. You will now see attendance data errors, like a missing check-out record, flagged directly in your check-in report.
• Edit modal for updating and adding attendance records. You can update your attendance data errors without leaving your check-in report. All you have to do is enter the edit modal from the call out at the top of the report – from there you can fix attendance data errors by adding missing records, deleting records, and adding completely new records.
• Audit logs. You can access audit logs on your attendance data by exporting your check-in report and selecting “Include attendance audit logs” when emailing the report.

And in the near future, if you have guardians check in and out students at your center, they’ll see a more streamlined check-in process that makes it easier to complete the process!

• Quarterly & annual bill plans: You can now offer families more payment plan options.
• Pay periods: Timecards and payroll reports will always default to the right date range when you set your pay period.
• Mobile portfolios: When a portfolio is published, parents receive an email notification and they can see it right in the brightwheel app.
• Billing notifications: You can unsubscribe from all billing notification emails, and soon there will be a weekly digest of upcoming invoices.
