Back with more Chariot updates!
β
βThe two biggest ones, in my opinion: LiveSwitch can now automatically build your AI inventory as soon as a customer submits a video, and your estimates can use your brand colors at the top.
β
...But there's much more to check out!
β
βQuick summary (go deeper below π):
-
LiveSwitch now can automatically generate AI Inventory when a customer submits a video (βSparkyβ) or ends a live call. Run AI in Chariot for any LiveSwitch video without a report. Reminder: this video shows how to review and merge AI-generated inventory.
β
-
You can now add your brand colors to the top of your Estimates (set from Settings > Estimate Configuration)
β
-
You can now edit your own estimate templates in Settings, and choose who else can
β
-
See every detailed change to Estimates and Results/Invoices in each job's Timeline
β
-
Help & Chat moved to the main left menu, so the floating bubble no longer covers your screen. You'll get the same great support!
β
- When you change a Booked job (or Lead with signed Estimate), the Booked* and Ready to Book* stages show up more clearly, with no banner blocking your work, and better action buttons.
β
-
Plus: 10+ small but mighty wins, including sales tax capabilities for on storage jobs, improved Intake tab, and much more.
As always, lots of upcoming big and small updates in the works. Talk soon!

π₯ LiveSwitch AI can build inventory automatically via the Chariot integration
Before you start: reconnect LiveSwitch once. Sparky needs extra permissions, so youβll need to log out and back in of LiveSwitch from Company > Settings > Integrations in Chariot. Until you do, you can still send links and take calls, but Sparky wonβt run.
How to use it: After you reconnect, toggle on βRun Inventory AI on the videoβ when sending a LiveSwitch link, then go to the Inventory tab after your customer submits their video. You can also run βSparkyβ yourself from the Chariot Inventory tab.A customer submits a LiveSwitch video at 9pm. When you open the lead in the morning, the inventory is already there. Chariot now runs Sparky (AI inventory) automatically about 2 minutes after the last upload, as long as you select this option:
-
Why it matters: No one has to watch the video and type items in, or remember to click Run Sparky. You start from a draft inventory and just review itβ
-
How to use it: Just toggle on "Run Inventory AI on the video" when sending a LiveSwitch link, and go to the Inventory tab after your customer submits their video. You can also run "Sparky" yourself from the Chariot Inventory tab.
β
π¨ Add colors to your Estimate
Your digital/online Estimate header can now have a custom color: a bold line along the bottom and a light tint behind it.
β
Print, Decline, and Sign stay easy to read with any color. The header also shows your display name (Joe's Moving instead of Joe's Moving LLC), and your legal name still appears in the body of the estimate.
- βWhy it matters: Cleaner look, more cohesive with your company branding/ logo, and standing out vs. other more generic-looking Estimates.
β
-
How to use it: Go to Settings > General > Company Wide > Estimate Configuration > Estimate Header Color. Pick a color or enter a hex code, then Save. This applies to the online estimate, not to PDFs or emails CONFIRM.
π Edit your own estimate templates
You can now create, edit, and delete Estimate Templates yourself from Settings > Estimate Templates.
-
Why it matters: Before, there was no way to edit a Template on your own. It required saving a new template and deleting the old one. Now you can simply edit your Template anytime you want!
β
-
How to use it: Go to Settings > Estimate Templates. To control who can edit, go to Settings > General > By Role and check Can Edit Estimate Templates for each role. When it's off, templates are view-only.
β
π See exactly what changed on an Estimate or Charge
A job's Timeline now logs detailed changes to Estimates and Charges/Bills.
-
Why it matters: When a total looks different than you expected, you can see what changed and when, instead of asking around the office or calling up your movers.
β
-
How to use it: It works automatically. Just review the Timeline tab!
π¬ Help & Chat now lives in your left menu
The floating chat bubble is gone. Help & Chat is now at the bottom of the left menu, with an unread badge when you have a reply.
-
Why it matters: The bubble used to sit on top of buttons and page controls, especially on a phone. No more!
β
-
How to use it: Click Help & Chat at the bottom of the left menu to message us.
π Booked* and Ready to Book* stages: easier/smoother to follow
Refresher: What are Booked* and Ready to Booked* stages?
Think of them as "Booked but with changes pending." After a job is Booked (or a customer signs their estimate), details often change before move day, like an updated inventory. Some movers are OK simply confirming these changes. Others prefer to get a customer to sign off on them officially.
So when you edit a Booked job in Chariot, your options are:
-
Confirm Changes: accept them and move on.
-
Send New Estimate: once the customer signs, the job returns to Booked.
-
Leave it as Booked*: while changes are still happening.
What changed: Chariot used to show a big banner to try and explain this. That's gone -- now there's a clearer explanation and action buttons.
πͺ Other small but mighty updates
-
Sales tax on storage jobs. You can now charge it on storage invoices. Here's how.
β
-
Multi-site Inventory Settings. If you're part of a multi-site setup, you now see every item, room, and category that comes from your Parent/Umbrella account, in addition to the ability to edit/ add inventory items specific to your location/shop.
-
New default home screen widgets. We added 4 widgets by default. Haven't tried widgets yet? Click + Widget on your home screen!
-
Month Job Schedule explainer. We added a "how to read this calendar" button that helps users understand the colors and number counts.
-
Leads, Jobs, and Archives sort by most recently updated. Prefer a different order? Set your default with Saved Views.
-
Sticky Intake notes. The notes on the right side of the Intake tab now stay visible as you scroll
-
Cleaner card on file display for Estimates: If you save/ verify a card on file as part of your estimates (without taking a deposit), Chariot now more clearly shows your office whether the customer has completed the card entry/verification step.
-
Turn on feature to let your Movers take LiveSwitch videos: This was available before but wasn't easy to turn on yourself. You can now turn this on by checking "Auto-Create LiveSwitch Links" from the Settings > General > Lead/Job Configuration section.
-
Estimate Format dialog. Cleaner layout, plus a new option to hide the total item count in the inventory section.
- β15-minute time picker for Estimates. The Estimate tab's time picker now moves in 15-minute steps, making it faster to navigate. Type directly into the time field if you need a more specific start time.
-
Smarter repeat customer matching. Chariot now flags more leads that are likely repeat customers.
-
Text Storage-only customers. The Texts screen now displays Customers with only a Storage job (no move job), so you can text them through Chariot.
-
Full Job Export. Now includes the Origin and Destination location type (for example, 3BR apartment).
-
Booked By filter. Fixed on the Jobs dashboard.
-
Notifications bell. Now simply lists notifications from newest to oldest -- before it would also group them by notification type/ category.
-
No more login screen flash when you refresh Chariot.
