Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • July 10, 2026

Back with our 2nd big product update this week (in case you missed it, here's the one I sent Monday)!

Quick summary – details below.

  • [The big one] Ranging Estimates just got way easier – range any charge and the total calculates automatically. Reach out if you want early access (full roll out in ~2 weeks)!
  • The Automation Engine can now email your team (vs. creating a task) when something needs attention – overdue balances, untouched leads, negative reviews, and more
  • New Automation Engine conditions/ triggers based on customers' estimate views and move-date day of week
  • Leads, Jobs, and Archives dashboards now show the specific services on each job, not just broad categories
  • Smaller wins: the horizontal job schedule upgraded, the Estimate's "Packing" section is now "Packing / Materials," and you can update a job's stage right from the stage/status chip "quick view"

Talk soon!

[Ask for Early Access] Automated Charge and Estimate Ranges!

Ranging an estimate in Chariot used to mean manually typing in a range (for example, "$1,000-$1,500").

Not anymore!

With Chariot's new ranging features you can:

  • Range the quantity of any charge (Hourly Rate = 4–6 hours, Medium Boxes = 10–20, etc.) → the Total Range calculated automatically.
  • Save charge ranges (like +/- 1 hour) into Estimate Templates, so you can load pre-ranged estimates instantly.

You can still enter a total range manually and add custom notes to the total.

Like our recent Lost and Disqualified Reasons feature, we're rolling this out to movers who want early access for ~2 weeks before releasing to everyone. If you want it turned on for your team now, please let us know!

New Automation Engine Capabilities

We recently launched our Automation Engine, which unlocks automated workflows that go far beyond what Chariot had available in the past – for example, multi-step estimate reminders, automatic communications to cold leads, automatic estimates for small moves, invoice reminders, dynamic multi-step pre move messages, CRM clean up, post move follow ups, and more.

As more movers adopt it, we've added:

New Action: Send internal emails

When conditions are met – an overdue balance, an untouched new lead, a negative review – the Automation Engine can email your team. Send to the sales owner, specific roles, specific users, or any mix. Especially useful if you prefer emails over Chariot creating tasks that you need to clear out later.

New Conditions: Estimate Views + Move Date Day of Week

Fire automations based on whether an estimate has been viewed, or how long since it was last viewed. Now you can auto-message a customer who hasn't opened their estimate, or alert a salesperson when a customer goes quiet.

You can also gate actions by day of week – e.g. don't send an auto-estimate when the requested move date is a Sunday.

Want to put the Automation Engine to work for your team?

Lead/Job/Archive dashboards show specific services

On the Leads, Jobs, and Archives dashboards, we used to show broad categories under each job name – Moving, Packing, Storage.

Now we show the specific services instead. Instead of just "Packing," you might see "Full move, Partial packing and unpacking" – a faster, clearer snapshot of each job without opening it.

💪 Other Small but Mighty Updates

  • We improved the horizontal job schedule – it now consistently starts at the beginning of the day, even on smaller screens.
  • We changed the “Packing” section of the Estimate to “Packing / Materials,” to be clearer that these charges often represent materials/boxes, not packing labor.
  • You can now update the stage of a job from the stage “chip” in the quick view (no need to click Actions --> Update Stage to → Choose stage).

🚀 More Chariot Updates | Loss reason tracking, on the way ETAs, and much more!

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • July 06, 2026

Happy July and Happy America 250 🇺🇸!

Back with some exciting updates to the core Chariot software you all use.

Quick Summary - please see details below!

  • You can now track / analyze reasons you lose or disqualify leads in Chariot. Reach out if you want early access (full roll out in ~2 weeks)!
  • Movers' "on the way" texts now include an ETA
  • The Chariot web form is faster with more accurate box ranges
  • Texting is more efficient and easier to filter
  • You can control who can void payments and lock the schedule from Settings
  • Dispatching movers to "tracks" by clicking above the track name now takes fewer clicks

We have some other significant updates close the finish line as well (in particular, a big improvement to estimate ranging). I'll be back soon with more details.

- Ian

[Ask for Early Access] Track reasons why you Lose or Disqualify Jobs

You can now record why a lead is lost or disqualified — and turn those reasons into insight!

Spot why winnable jobs are slipping away, find ways to lift your booking rate, and see which services customers keep asking for that you don't offer yet.

We’re turning on this feature to movers that request it for the next ~2 weeks, then will be rolling it out widely. Reply or reach out to us if you’d like to be one of the first! More details here.

Movers input ETA into “On the way” messages

When sending an “On the Way” text to the customer, movers will now be prompted to add an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), which will automatically be included in the text.

By default, they set the estimated minutes/ hours to reach the customer (Chariot sets this to a specific time), or they can choose to pick the specific time of arrival.

Improved: Box counts on the Chariot "long" web form

We tightened how the "long form" captures box counts. Instead of a range-slider it now asks customers to click/tap a minimum and maximum – two quick taps that produce a more realistic count (Chariot still automatically biases to the high end, since customers typically under-estimate).

That range now also shows clearly in the notes on the Medium Box created in your Chariot inventory. More accurate box counts = more accurate estimates.

Texting (SMS) Experience Improvements

We’ve made several upgrades to make Texting with customers easier in Chariot.

Undelivered Text Warnings

Chariot now displays if the text you sent wasn’t delivered (common reasons include customer opt-outs and carrier blocks).

Text length automatically capped (and optimized)

SMS carriers limit how long a text can be – 1,600 characters, or 700 once you add emojis or special characters. Chariot now manages that limit for you:

  • Caps a message at the carrier max before you send, so it goes through cleanly.
  • Warns you in advance if a “custom message” (like the note on a texted estimate) is running long, so you can trim it or drop the text (and just send an email instead)
  • Automatically swaps special characters (like the “em dashes” AI is fond of using) for standard ones, so more of your message fits.

Sales Owner filter on the main Texts screen

You can now filter the Texts screen by Sales Owner (will show texts from any customer that has at least 1 lead or job with that Sales Owner) – reducing the need to scroll through texts that may not be relevant to you, and helping you see how different sales reps are using texting.

Choose which user roles can “lock” the Job Schedule, and void payments

From Settings > General > By Role, Moving companies can now control:

  • Which user roles have access to Lock a day on the job schedule (prevent anyone from booking new jobs on that date)
  • Which user roles can void payments (no longer counting them towards the job balance)

Note: Like most Settings, we can also control this at the individual user-level, if Role-based permissions are too broad for your company. Message us and we’ll help set this up on the back end!

Simpler to add multiple movers to a Job Schedule “Track”

When clicking / tapping to add movers to a track (vs. dragging/ dropping; especially useful on mobile), you can now multi-select movers in one go.

💪 Other Small but Mighty Updates

  • The inventory tab now shows a red outline around any items with a weight AND volume of 0 (this can happen, for example, when a customer inputs a custom inventory item through the Chariot web form). The goal is to make sure Movers see these items and can add in a volume and weight if needed.
  • We re-engineered the backend of the Chariot web form so that it loads more efficiently, which can improve PageSpeed scores on your site depending on how you embed it.
  • The number next to the Tasks page in the main menu now reflects the # of tasks assigned to you due today or overdue (was previously the overdue count only)
  • It’s now easier to add negative charges (e.g., ad hoc discounts) to the Bill of Lading
  • The section of the Job schedule that shows your count of available movers by role is now ordered based on the “Sort Order” you set in Resources > Mover Roles
  • You can now add any Mover to a Claim in our Claims Management feature – even if they are not present on the Results/ Work Times for that job.
  • Users can now easily re-send storage invoices easily if the payment was previously attempted but failed
  • You can now more easily change the Stage of a lead/ job from the "Quick View" by clicking into the Stage "chip" itself

⚡ Chariot Automation Engine is LIVE!

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • May 27, 2026

Every moving company has a lot to stay on top of: following up on estimates, re-engaging quiet leads, preparing customers for move day, requesting reviews, collecting open balances, checking back in with past customers, keeping your CRM organized, and more.

Even the best moving companies can't stay on top of everything. Or need to add employees or virtual assistants to make sure it all gets done.

The result? Profit slips through the cracks.

Now, Chariot's Automation Engine helps you capture that extra profit by automatically taking action when important events happen across your leads and jobs.

With Automations, you can help your team:

  • Book more moves with dynamic, multi-step follow-ups for customers across your sales funnel and reminders/ tasks for any leads that fall behind
  • Drive more reviews, referrals, and repeat moves after a completed job, without you lifting a finger
  • Reduce hours of manual work by automatically creating standard tasks, flagging potential errors, alerting you to accounts receivable issues, sending customers invoice reminders, and organizing your Chariot leads and jobs
  • Stay ahead of move-day issues and drive upsells with multi-step pre-move reminders and follow-up workflows

We make it easy to get started, even if you haven't used other Automation/ Workflow builder tools before:

  • The Automations Engine comes with 20+ pre-built Automation "Blueprints," built with feedback from real movers
  • You can chat with our our AI Assistant, which drafts new Automations for you based on best practices
  • Our support team can help advise you help you dial in Automations directly.

The Automations Engine is a paid add-on to Chariot's core software. We’re opening Automations to a limited group of early customers first. Because setup is hands-on, our team will work with early movers to review existing reminders, configure the right workflows, prevent duplicate customer messages, and backfill automations where useful (for example, setting up automated check ins with customers you moved ~11 months ago).

Interested in being one of the first movers to get access?

Looking forward to working with many of you to get this going for the busy season and beyond!

Shared by Ian • May 15, 2026

More product updates!

Big Upgrades to Horizontal Job Schedule!

  • Easier viewing and vertical scrolling
  • Better dispatching capabilities
  • All the horsepower of the vertical schedule view for movers who prefer this orientation (especially for movers with larger fleets).

Messages Tab Overhaul

  • Emails and Texts all in one place
  • Search message content and filter by different message types
  • Send text and email templates directly from this screen
  • View / open attachments
  • Easily see which messages were sent automatically vs. manually from Chariot

Zillow Links

1 click to open the Zillow listing for any location in Chariot with a full address. Get additional views of the exterior, interior layout, and furniture!

In early access: Customize payment methods that can be logged

We’ve implemented the ability for Moving Companies to customize their own list of payment methods that users / movers can log manually.

We’ll be rolling this out widely in the next ~2 weeks after some initial testing with customers who are eager to have this turned on. If you’d like early access, let us know!

Start customizing your own Home Screen via “Widgets”

Different users want to see different things when they log into Chariot. For example, Sales Reps may want to jump right to their sales performance for the week, but an Owner might want to jump right to overall Revenue for the month.

So, we’ve been working on making the home screen customizable for each user via “Widgets” that you can choose and re-order to make it your own!

We’re still putting on the final touches, but you can get a head start by configuring a custom home screen via the “Widgets” toggle on the home screen. Click +Widget to add/ remove/ reorder each home screen section.

Filter to unread texts

No more scrolling through the Texts screen to find unread messages. Just click “Unread”.

Option to Show Time Tracking Summary on Bills of Lading

We can now build in a “Work Time Details” section to Bills of Lading that will break down the timestamps of each activity underpinning the hourly rate charge/ quantity. You need to use our Time Tracking feature for this to be relevant.

Reach out if interested!

Option to hide Packing and Storage services on web form

We actually had already had this option available but hadn’t exposed it widely to our users. You can now turn off/ on these service questions on the Chariot web form via Settings > Web Form Configuration.

Web form for reference

New settings

Customize your own automated Arrival Window logic

We set up automated arrival window logics (click and it pre-fills with what your company typically does) during onboarding. But we didn’t have a good way for you to change this logic… until now. Go to Settings > Estimate Configuration to customize.

Note: Your existing Arrival Window logic won’t show by default. If you customize it yourself, it will override what we’ve configured for you previously.

Automate Chariot Arrival Window Settings - Watch Video

💪 Other small but mighty updates

  • LiveSwitch Connection statuses should be more accurate for users that use our integration. Previously, it sometimes showed the user as Connected when they were actually not / logged out.
  • Our North Carolina Electronic Bill of Lading is now updated to be compliant with the latest 2026 Max 4 Tariff. We’ll be reaching out to you if you operate in NC!
  • You can now control which user roles can see the full Task Management Dashboard (all tasks across the company) via Settings > By Role
  • Internal email notifications about Surveys scheduled to you now include an attached calendar file (.ics), making it easy to add to your personal calendar tool.
  • In the crew experience, when a BoL is open and the user clicks the BoL menu item, Chariot will direct them to the open / in progress Bill of Lading (previously, it would drop them on a menu showing all in progress and completed BoLs – one extra click)
  • Valuation Amounts and/or multipliers (automatically calculating a valuation amount based on weight x a $/lb factor) now save as part of any saved Estimate Template.
  • We added “Internal Estimate Notes” to the Full Job Export (this is where for example, the reason estimates were declined will show)
  • We fixed a bug that was causing Chariot to freeze sometimes after a user cloned/ duplicated a job.

🚢 April launches: time-off grid, claims upgrades, and many more features

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • April 28, 2026

Recently I've been struggling to keep up with our engineers as we push the product forward!

This is a longer update than usual, but I strongly recommend taking a skim through it all with your team to make sure you’re getting the most out of Chariot!

I’ll be back very soon with some other very exciting things we’re cooking up!

All the best,
Ian

New Time Off Page/ Grid

The Time Off page has been turned into a full-fledged availability grid! It’s meant to replace the manual spreadsheet systems we see at many moving companies we’ve visited in person (list of movers in the first column, availability by day at the top).

You can more easily see the number of movers working by day, filter by role, view truck availability, and add time off by clicking/ dragging on the grid.

Hourly Minimums - Now Rolled out to all Chariot Customers

Set a default hourly minimum, customize it by job and by day, and Chariot automatically enforces it on the final bill.

(Note if you don’t want this on, you can toggle the feature off from Settings > Payment and Billing)

Claims Management – rolled-out, with upgrades

The Claims feature is now on for all moving companies, with access on by default for all roles by default except for sales-focused roles like Sales Reps and Marketers.

We’ve added more functionality as well:

  • Customize Claim Types, Claim Item Types, Settlement Types, Workflow / Current Steps, and Valuation Types from Settings > General > Claims Management
  • Users can Export all Claims from the Claims Dashboard (for reporting/ audits, etc.)
  • Signed Bills of Ladings and Estimates now automatically upload by default to the Company Documentation portion of the Claim
  • Added ability to delete Claims (nothing is truly deleted, and you can still view deleted Claims by filtering the Claims dashboard)
  • Control which Roles can access Claims from Settings > General > By Role

Add required checkboxes to Estimates

You can now add statements that customers must check off in order to sign their Estimate — for acknowledging state consumer guides, confirming they read specific terms, or meeting other compliance requirements.

Add statements at the Format level via Settings → Estimate Formats, or customize them on the fly for a specific job using the FORMAT button on the Estimate tab. Statements support links and basic formatting, and customers will see them above the signature field when signing.

Option to add the Estimator/ Sales Owner Signature to Estimates

You can now save your signature to your Chariot account and have it displayed on the customer-facing Estimate — useful for meeting state countersigning requirements or just adding a more professional touch to your quotes.

Each user saves their own signature via Settings → Estimate Formats. Turn it on by default for any Estimate Format by checking Show Estimator's Signature, or toggle it on/off for a specific job using the FORMAT button on the Estimate tab. The signature shown is pulled from the job's Sales Owner — if there's no Sales Owner or they haven't saved a signature yet, it won't display.

New Synced Charge: Quantity = travel to/ from job, Rate = Hourly Rate

You can now set up charges – like travel fees – that automatically calculate on your Estimates based on:

  • Quantity = travel time to and from the job (in hours)
  • Rate = your hourly rate

If you calculate your travel fee this way, we strongly suggest updating your fee / charge via Settings. Just go to Settings > Charges, find your Charge (or add one), and select a sync type of “Travel Time To & From Job (hrs) and Hourly Rate.

Updated Booking / Reserving Flow

We updated the flow for Booking a Job or Reserving a Lead on the schedule (courtesy holds).

Place crews/ trucks onto the schedule "Tracks" all in one go! There's 1 clean dialog/ pop-up, no matter how complex the job.

Storage Updates

You can now customize the due date of your recurring invoices (offset from the date of the invoice)

Just adjust the Setting below from Settings > General > Payment and Billing Settings

Add Time Stamped Notes

You can now add a feed of time-stamped notes to Storage Jobs (for changes, customer interactions, etc.), just like you can for move Jobs.

Auto-Book Reserved Leads if Estimate is Signed/Paid

You can now turn on this feature, which we announced ~1 year ago, under Settings > General > Estimate configuration. If turned on, Chariot will auto-book any Lead that is reserved on the schedule as soon as the Estimate is completed.

New Report: “Booking Momentum”

We added a new report under Reports > Sales Forecasts called “Booking Momentum”. It tracks how revenue and jobs accumulate week by week for a job date range, helping you monitor pacing and forecast how much more you’re likely to book. You can also use recent weeks as a guide to estimate how much additional revenue you’re likely to book in the upcoming weeks.

Other updates

  • You can now set your Hourly Rate auto-rounding to round to 6 minutes, or 1/10th of an hour (Settings > General > Payment and Billing)
  • Movers’ roles for their jobs now appear on the Crew “Homepage” where they see their upcoming jobs listed out
  • We added the Distance Category field (Local, Intrastate LD, Interstate LD) to the Full Job Export
  • Chariot now warns you as you approach 2 weeks logged in on the software. You’ll see an option to extend/ refresh your session, instead of Chariot automatically logging you out at 2 weeks.
  • We added a “merge tag” to the Email/ Text editor called “Moves Dates with Activities” that if used will display all the dates for the job with activities (for example): 4/27/2026 (Pack), 4/28/2026 (Move)
  • Archive page filtering now works for Commercial customer names

🎆 New in Chariot+ (add-ons) | AI inventories from Video and Voice, ads lead tracking, big impacts

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • March 27, 2026

We have some exciting updates on Chariot add-on features -- and another big one coming next week. Read more below, and grab time if you're interested in diving deeper!

LiveSwitch Integration: AI Inventories from customer videos!

Chariot already has the best integration with LiveSwitch in the industry. Now integration users can generate full inventory lists in Chariot from LiveSwitch videos using AI – no manual input required, and with you in control of the final details. No additional fees beyond your normal LiveSwitch subscription.

See more in this ~2 minute overview video!

Chariot x LiveSwitch | AI-Generated inventories from videos - Watch Video

One disclaimer: Users at your moving company can only run the AI on videos if they have a LiveSwitch seat/ license/ login.

AI Voice Assistant - Full inventory generation, and big 2026 results

AI-generated inventories = saved time

After the AI Voice Assistant runs a customer through their inventory list, it now creates full inventory lists complete with weights, volumes, and notes -- directly on the Lead's inventory tab.

→ That means less time entering inventories manually, faster turnaround on estimates, and higher booking rates.

More impact

So far in 2026, the AI Voice Assistant has handled 145 hours of calls with customers. On average, movers using it have seen:

~$17K in additional revenue booked via AI
~14 more jobs captured
~39 more qualified leads generated

Several movers have booked $50K+ in revenue to their schedules through the AI in 2026 so far!

AI isn't perfect, and not every caller will want to talk to it. But no moving company can cover the phones 100% of the time -- and even capturing a handful of customers that would've otherwise gone to voicemail makes a significant difference to your bottom line.

Ads & Marketing Platform Updates

Whether you're spending thousands (or tens of thousands) a month on ads and need to know what's actually working, or you're a smaller operation figuring out where to start -- the Ads & Marketing Platform is built for both: Real-time visibility into how your marketing ties to actual revenue in Chariot -- and if you're not running ads yet, we can manage them for you.

Lead Attribution Details

You can now see every lead we can track to a channel -- Google Ads, organic search, AI search, mailers, and more -- along with how they first engaged (web form, phone call, etc.).

Now you can see who didn't book, which channels are driving leads, which are converting, and where you're losing people.

CallRail Integration

Our Ads & Marketing Platform could already attribute phone leads to marketing sources through Google Ads call tracking and dynamic number insertion. Now we also integrate with CallRail -- one of the most widely used call tracking tools.

CallRail is popular because it goes beyond just tracking ad clicks. It dynamically swaps the phone number on your website for each visitor, so you can attribute calls to specific sources -- Google Ads, organic search, direct traffic, and more. Connecting it to Chariot means all of that attribution data flows directly into your Ads & Marketing Platform for a broader, more accurate view.

To connect, click the gear icon in the platform, then "Connect CallRail" and follow the instructions. Let us know if you need help.

🚀 BIG Chariot updates - hourly mins, claims, estimate format editor, and more!

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • March 23, 2026

There’s been a LOT we’ve been building into Chariot recently. This update highlights the big changes to the core software you all use (and Storage). I’ll be sending another update this week with news about our add-on features (AI Voice, Ads & Marketing, LiveSwitch videos) + a NEW game-changing Chariot feature we're releasing.

Please check it out with your team!

Quick highlights:

  • You can now set per-day hourly minimums that are automatically enforced on the bill. Full roll out will be mid-April. Message us for earlier access!
  • A new Claims Management feature is in beta for movers who want early access. Again -- message us if you want to be an early user/ tester!
  • Add and edit your own Estimate Formats (how Estimates appear to customers) from Settings > Estimate Formats, with more options for text colors, text highlighting, custom spacing, bullets, numbered lists, and more.
  • Add and edit job notes right from the "quick view" panel
  • Self-manage your automatic review request configuration (Settings > Customer Reviews Configuration)
  • Option to waive card fees for Storage Jobs by default
  • Add charges to Estimates that automatically sync to the hourly rate (for example, Travel Time Charge = 1x hourly rate)

I'll be back very soon with more.

- Ian

New features - message us for early access!

Hourly Minimums

You can now set hourly minimums for jobs that will automatically display to the customer and will be enforced on the bill.

You can use a company-wide default (like 2 hours) – but also override that default to set a custom hourly minimum per job or per day of the job (example: Friday pack with 3 hour min, Saturday move with 4 hour min).

Mover reports will show actual time worked as well as the minimum time for purposes of payroll.

We are rolling out this feature first to movers who request it, and then to all our customers by mid-April.

If you’d like it on for your moving company, please let us know and tell us your default hourly minimum.

Claims Management (Beta)

We’re releasing a Claims feature that helps moving companies:

  • Organize and search for claims without manual, error-prone spreadsheets
  • Centralize documentation about all Claims to ensure nothing is missed and information is easy to reference
  • Track progress of each claim and ensure nothing is missed / dropped
  • Ensure compliance by tracking the dates claims were received, acknowledged, settled, and paid
  • Track which movers are costing the company the most in claims, to help with coaching and to reduce your claims ratio

We’ll be releasing this feature to all customers by end of April. We’re looking for movers who want access to the beta version and to give us feedback on how we can improve it.

Please reply if you’d like it on and share which users should have access. We’ll follow up with more details!

Other new features - on for all Chariot customers

Edit your own Estimate Formats – with colors and more options!

From Settings > Estimate Formats, you can finally fully customize your templated Estimate “Formats” in Chariot, which are a templated group of settings that control how the Estimate displays to the customer, including:

  • Title
  • Introduction text
  • Terms & Conditions
  • Valuation explanation (if you use the Valuation feature to display valuation on estimates)
  • Customizations of what shows / hides across charge details, totals, inventory details, etc.
  • Default deposit approach (flat rate, percentage of total, no estimate, etc.)

We’ve also added new formatting options – including text colors, highlighting, numbered list/ bulleted lists, custom spacing, and custom alignment.

Add/ Edit Notes from “Quick View”

Office users can now edit and add overall job notes (short job summary, general notes, office notes) directly from the “quick view” – no need to click into the separate page/ screen for the job.

Waive Card Fees for Storage Jobs

You can now apply card fees by default to moves/ standard jobs, but waive them by default on storage jobs (and control which storage customers have card fees applied vs. not).

Learn more below!

Self-manage your Review Links and Auto-review settings

You should be aware that Chariot makes it easy to send review requests - including automatically sending out review requests after your jobs are complete (learn more here).

Now, you can manage the settings for this feature on your own from Settings > Customer Reviews Configuration:

  • Set whether review requests send automatically
  • Set what time of day they send (the day after the job is completed)
  • Set up 3rd party review sites to direct happy customers to post on!

New Synced Charge: Set Charge’s Rate to the Hourly Rate

We introduce a new “synced charge” that automatically sets the price of the charge to the hourly rate.

For example, if you charge a travel fee equal 1 x the specific hourly rate for that job (or day), you can set it up as this synced charge, so that the travel charge always sets to the correct rate:

To enable this sync for your charges:

  • Go to Settings > Charges
  • Click Edit for the relevant Charge
  • Under Sync Type, select “Charge Rate Synced to Hourly Rate”

Other Small but Mighty Changes:

  • The job schedule has improved on mobile / smartphones -- with the width of each track increased for larger companies / schedules
  • Under Resources > Role Managment, you can now toggle per mover-role if the mover can see the estimated length of the job (~4 hours, etc.) from their mover homepage.
  • The Crew Size and Hours Calculator now accepts negative factors (for example, -10% to move time for a Ranch with no stairs) and has a setting (via Settings > Estimating) that allows you to round estimated times to the nearest half-hour.
  • Estimate Templates that used "Combined" charges (vs. showing charges per day) can now be loaded for Estimates with any number of work dates (for example, a LD template can be loaded for a job that runs 2, 3, 4, 5 days, etc.)
  • Inactive Movers are now separated out when running Reports focused on different movers.
  • When creating Office Calendar events, the name of the event will automatically populate with the event type – for example, if you schedule a virtual survey the name will start as “Virtual Survey for [Customer Name]”

15+ Movers are live on Ads & Marketing: what we've learned so far

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • February 19, 2026

In December, we launched our Ads & Marketing Platform inside Chariot.

The core problem it solves:
Most movers spend thousands per month on marketing, but don't know what they're getting back. Their ads optimize for leads.

The biggest/best service businesses? They can track every dollar back to their ads. And their ads optimize for revenue.

With the Ads & Marketing platform, with a few minutes of setup, movers connect Google, Meta, their website, and Chariot — and instantly see:

  1. Which jobs actually came from which sources
  2. Real revenue tied to calls, forms, mailers, etc.
  3. True return on ad spend (ROAS) — not guesswork

We also automatically send offline revenue data back to Google in real time. By attaching that to your ad campaigns, Google can bid on high-value jobs, not just cheap leads.

15+ movers are live on the platform. What we're seeing:

  • Movers are finally seeing true return on ad spend in real time. They're holding their agencies accountable for results. If they run ads themselves, they're no longer guessing -- they're strategizing.
  • “Good” campaigns are often unprofitable once revenue is tracked
  • Movers are cutting $1-3K+/month in wasted spend
  • Data makes experimentation easier - they're trying new marketing ideas, knowing they can measure the impact.

Others are reallocating dollars to campaigns that actually work -- or having Chariot's ads team manage campaigns for them -- and are driving significantly more booked revenue.

One Real example:

Previous campaign → 1.19x ROAS
After switching → 6.4x ROAS
(And budget cut in half)

The difference? Optimizing for booked revenue, not clicks (and some disciplined campaign management behind the scenes).

If you’re running ads and not tying them directly to booked revenue, or interested in running ads but don't know where to start -- we'd love to discuss if we can help. You can schedule time below.

If you're still getting oriented to how moving company ads work -- I'd check out the webinar and Q&A we hosted back in December.

Chariot: How Moving Company Ads Actually Work + our Ads & Marketing Platform - Watch Video

Will be back soon -- big updates on the way!

We have a lot in the works. We’ll be back very soon.

All the best,

📊 Chariot Reports, Revamped!

Reports are now organized by topic and common questions, making it easier to find the insights you’re looking for.

⭐ Star your favorite reports for easy access:

🔍 Search for reports and data you’re looking for:

We’ve also added a variety of new reports, and simplified names and descriptions of existing reports:

  • Customer List
  • Revenue by Charge Category
  • Revenue by Charge Item
  • Salesperson Scorecard (total leads, estimates, booking rate, texts, emails, tasks, accuracy…)
  • Outstanding invoices (aging)
  • Storage job invoices
  • Leads, jobs, and revenue by zip code

💳 Customize deposits for any estimate

Note: Only applies to moving companies enrolled in Chariot payment processing

Previously, the deposit for a move was set on the “Estimate Format” (which controls intro, terms, display of charges, etc.). That meant that to request a new deposit amount, you needed to (1) add a new Format to your Chariot set up or (2) send a one-time payment link, separate from the estimate.

Now, you can set a custom deposit on any Estimate.

At the bottom of the page, click the edit button next to "Deposit". Then, select a deposit setting (flat rate, percentage based, multiple of hourly estimate, just take card on file, no deposit) based on your preference.

If you want to re-use this deposit setup on future moves, we recommend saving it as part of a new Estimate Template so it can be loaded up with just 1-2 clicks. Reach out to Support if you need help with this!

📈 Ads & Marketing Platform: Revenue Attribution Beyond Ads & Organic

Chariot’s Ads & Marketing platform (Reports > Ads & Marketing) now gives you visibility into revenue from any marketing channel you run — including offline and “scrappier” marketing that movers rely on.

In addition to paid ads and organic traffic, you can now track booked revenue from:

  • Email newsletters
  • Social posts
  • QR codes on mailers
  • Referral links

…and still see Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Organic Search alongside them.

How it works, high level:

When a customer books a move, Chariot assigns a Primary Marketing Source using a simple priority order:

  1. Paid Ads – Google, Facebook, or other ad clicks
  2. Tracked Links (UTMs) – email, mailers, social posts, campaigns
  3. Referring Websites – Google, Yelp, partners, directories
  4. Direct / Unknown – typed-in URLs, bookmarks, or unknown sources

This keeps reporting clean and consistent — for example, ad clicks take priority over UTMs if both are present.

✍️ Chariot Short Form now supports free-text move details

By default, the second page of the form now includes an optional field for customers to add details about their move beyond just the basic services needed (giving you more context upfront and helping dial in your sales calls).

Any details added by customers will display under “General notes (visible to crew)” on the Lead/Job’s Intake tab.

If you don't want this field to show, you can turn it off from Settings > General > Web Form Configuration

🤖 AI Voice Call Notes

You can now add notes to AI Voice calls so that you (and other team members) can keep track of who has reviewed the call, key takeaways, and next steps.

🏷️ Easily add Saved Tags from the Leads / Jobs / Archives dashboards

Reminder: You can set custom “Saved Tags” to use on any job via Settings > General > Lead/Job Configuration.

Now, in addition to adding these saved tag from the job’s intake page, you can easily add them to the Leads / Jobs/ Archives dashboards as well! Just click into the “Tags” field for the lead/job and add/ remove your tags via the dropdown.

  • 📤 Triggering Automated Communications outside of Chariot’s normal automations, through other tools (Mailchimp, SendBlue, etc.)

  • 🗓️ Create automatic calendar events - Automatically create events in Google or Outlook calendars:

Sounds technical, but setup is straightforward. We go over some real examples step-by-step right here!

📦 Full support for Container / Pack / Unpack billing

Many movers (especially weight-based) bill packing via per-container, pack, and unpack rates. This is now fully supported in Chariot on Estimates and Bills of Lading/ Invoices.

Before this update, the Chariot team could set up these charges for you, and you could generate this billing on estimates using the “Includes Labor” toggle on the Packing section. But it didn't fully translate on the billing side.

Setting up / editing charges
Go to Settings > Charges. When editing or creating a charge with a Category of Packing or Materials, use the dropdowns to set separate Container/Pack/Unpack rates.

Using on Estimates
Toggle on “Includes Labor” to use this billing method on an Estimate (or build it into Estimate Templates). Container and pack rates will sync for any boxes set up as synced to CP inventory items.

Using on Bills of Lading
When adding a box/ materials charge to a Bill of Lading, if “Includes Labor” is toggled on for the Estimate’s packing section, the crew will see the option to set container/ pack/ unpack rates on each charge. Imported packing charges will automatically apply each rate.

The charges display cleanly on the final bill of lading and invoice – no manual, confusing-looking grids!

⏩ Improved job preview on job schedule

The job preview now includes clear actions to:

Fewer clicks, faster navigation.

📆 Dates now appear on hourly rates for multi-day jobs

When hourly rates are synced with work times, the associated date now appears directly on the charge — making multi-day jobs much easier to read on BoLs and invoices.
