🚀 Highlights

Take inventory on your phone

We finally we made inventory tab mobile-friendly! Use your phone to take inventory wherever you are – whether an onsite, your truck, or your couch!

  • Add items from one sub-tab, review from another.
  • As items get added, you can click the notification / confirmation that shows if you want to edit the item right away
  • Access photo and video (via LiveSwitch) functionality from your phone too!

🤖 AI Voice Upgrade

We upgraded customers to our newest voice model – and our AI Voice Assistant now sounds noticeably more natural, emotive, and realistic.

This means smoother conversations, less lag, and overall better efficiency, which we expect to translate into more completed intakes and time savings!

International (non-US) Addresses

If you do moves outside the United States, you can enable non-US addresses from 2 settings:

(1) Settings > General > Lead/Job Configuration > Allow non-US addresses: This enables non-US addresses on the office side of Chariot

(2) Settings > General > Web Form Configuration > Allow non-US addresses on web form: Allows your customers to input international addresses on your Chariot-provided web form.

Once enabled, you can toggle on and enter international addresses for any job’s location:

Tasks have due date – AND time

For example, this can be helpful to track follow-up calls that you need to make at specific times requested by the customer.

Print an agenda from the Office calendar

From the Office Calendar, click / press PRINT, select the users you want to print an agenda for (you can select multiple to print agendas for multiple people at once – similar to our print Work Orders feature on the Job Schedule.

Chariot will generate a nicely styled-PDF, ready to print and hand to your team members!

Reports History Auto-Saving

Chariot now automatically saves a CSV/ spreadsheet file of many Reports that you run, so that you can easily reference back to them instead of needing to re-run from scratch.

We’ve begun rolling this out moving companies using Chariot, and everyone should see it by the end of next week!

Much more to come on Reporting enhancements very soon!

New feature

Get Beta Access: Our New Automations Platform!

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • November 13, 2025

I’m back with another big one we've had in the works: Chariot Automations.

You’ve already seen some built-in automations in Chariot — things like sending welcome messages when leads submit forms, estimate reminders, or payment receipts.

But this new feature goes much further:

💡 What’s new with Chariot Automations

  • Triggers for any event — job booked, stage changed, invoice paid, time tracking started, LiveSwitch video uploaded, and more
  • Dozens of actions — send texts/emails, update fields, create tasks, add/remove tags, send web forms, etc.
  • Multi-step workflows — chain actions together, not just one-offs
  • Custom conditions — fire only for certain job types, service lines, or customer tags

🚀 What it means for you

Put manual tasks on autopilot — saving time and driving more revenue.

  • No lead slips through the cracks: auto-create tasks for new leads or stale ones with no activity
  • Automate follow-ups: send text/email sequences to boost close rates and recover declined estimates
  • Upsell and prep automatically: schedule move-day prep tips, packing info, or valuation reminders
  • Clean up ops tasks: auto-flag lost jobs, trigger follow-ups on missed payments or bad reviews
  • Win repeat business: send timed review or referral requests, or check in months later for repeat moves

We’re opening a small early-access group to shape this first version and get the biggest impact right away. Early adopters will work closely with our team, share feedback, and help prioritize what comes next.

👉 Join the waitlist now if you're interested!

We've also been making some exciting upgrades to the core Chariot features that you're using today -- I'll have more to share next week.

New feature

Waitlist: See which ads lead to revenue & true ROAS -- and run more effective ads via Chariot

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • November 07, 2025

We’re tackling a common (and costly) problem for movers: expensive, inefficient ad spend.

Too often, we see:

  • Thousands spent each month on ads — with little clarity on what’s working
  • Campaigns optimized for clicks or form fills instead of actual revenue from booked jobs
  • Missed opportunities due to incomplete attribution (calls, forms, organic traffic)
  • Ads that miss the mark on best practices - keywords, negative keywords, ad extensions, etc.

So -- we’re rolling out a new Chariot Ads/Marketing Platform. It connects your ad accounts and website to your Chariot account in minutes, and lets you:

  • Track every lead, job, and transaction that came from your ads (including callers who clicked your ads)
  • See true return on your current ad spend (ROAS) based on real job revenue (not just clicks or form fills)
  • Get insights to launch better ads that optimize for revenue, not clicks
  • Try launching more effective ads directly in Chariot — powered by ad experts, Chariot tech, and AI -- at lower cost than typical agencies
  • See performance of new ads in real time -- right from your CRM

If you’ve ever wondered which ads actually make you money, if your agency is giving you the full picture on their ROI, or if your moving company could benefit from running more ads (but don't have the time/ expertise) -- we're here to help.

We’re inviting a limited group of early customers to get access first.

👉 Join the waitlist now to be part of the first rollout.

More to come on this and other new Chariot tools for you!

Product update: Auto-Import Charges to New Bills of Lading

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • October 17, 2025

Hi there,

Back with another update.

Every mover knows the pain of crews forgetting to add charges to a bill of lading -- lost revenue, plain and simple.

To reduce the chance of this issue, we've made a notable change to how charges from the estimate get imported to the bill in Chariot.

  • By default, the crew leader is prompted to import charges from the estimate as their starting a bill of lading. They have the option to start fresh if needed.
  • There is also an option you can turn on (from Settings > General > Company Wide > Payment and Billing Settings) to always import charges from the estimate when the crew starts the bill of lading.

More context below. Reach out if anything is unclear!

Even more to come soon :)

Ian

P.S. You can also now add/ edit tags -- including saved tags -- to the intake tab of a lead / job. If you missed the previous update on saved tags, check it out!

How importing charges worked before

If you opened a new Bill of Lading:

  • At the beginning or end of the move, the crew lead would scroll down to the charges section (for example, at the end of the move) to add any charges they needed (box fees, travel fees, etc.).
  • Of course, many of the charges that need to be billed are already on the Estimate from the sales process. So we had (and still have) an Import from Estimate button that the crew leader could press to bring over those charges easily (and then finalize/ tweak remaining charges from there).

The problem was:

  • Some crew leaders were forgetting to hit the import button -- and could forget to add charges as a result.
  • Sometimes crew leads would add charges, then click to import from the estimate. This cleared out the charges they had added manually -- meaning extra work to add them back.

The new default

When opening a bill of lading/ move contract, your mover will see a pop up asking them to confirm if they want to add charges from the estimate to the bill -- right from the start.

They have the option to uncheck any charges that don't apply -- or to start fresh if they prefer. It will be most natural to add all the charges and proceed - and we expect this is best in most cases.

Note that the "special" hourly rate charge -- the one synced to your team's work times or time tracking -- will not be included in the import (since it depends on the actual times worked.

Some situations where a mover may not want to import from an estimate:

  • If it's a multi day move (pack day, move day) and your companies uses separate bills for each day, they would only import charges that apply to the current day
  • If you built a binding estimate up from individual charges internally, but just want to add one flat move price to the final bill

Another option: Set your company to ALWAYS auto-import charges from the estimate

If you're reading this and thinking:
"I always want the crew to bring charges from the estimate onto the final bill -- I don't even want them to have a way to mess this up!"

Then go to Settings > General > Company-Wide > Billing and check on the setting to "Always Automatically Import Charges from Estimate to new Bills of Lading".

If this setting is turned on, the crew leader will be warned that charges will be imported to the bill -- but won't have the option to skip the import step.

10.5.2025 - AI Voice Stats and Smarter Call Categorizations!

Ian avatar
Shared by Ian • October 15, 2025

,

For an average mover in September, our AI Voice Assistant:

  • Sourced ~13 qualified leads…
  • Movers closed ~38% of those leads...
  • Resulting in ~$4,900 in booked revenue
  • And saving their team ~2.6 hours of total call time

In short: it’s helping sales teams book more moves with less work – and even allowing movers to expand their business hours, helping them win busy customers who can't typically call during standard hours.

In the background, we’re continuing to push forward our AI’s capabilities to drive more impact for our movers.

With that in mind... 2 major updates below!

(👀 Want an AI Voice Assistant demo? Grab time using this link! )

We'll be back very soon with more product updates!
- Ian (on behalf of the Chariot team)

P.S. Other product updates are linked here if you've missed them!

(1) AI Performance Stats!

You can now easily see how your AI Voice Assistant is performing – all in one place.

Get a clear breakdown of:

  • Total calls handled by the AI
  • Qualified leads sourced
  • Booked jobs and estimated revenue from those leads
  • Call time saved and distribution by hour

These insights make it simple to track ROI, understand when leads are coming in, and see the real impact your AI is having each month.

(2) Smarter categorization of Lead, Voicemail, and Hangup calls

Our AI now has AI-enabled categorization every call -- so you can instantly see which calls are new sales opportunities, a voicemail about something unrelated to sales, and what’s just noise.

  • New Lead – when a caller expresses interest in a move quote, booking, or pricing. These automatically create a synced lead in Chariot with all details captured from the call — and trigger a customer notification.

  • Voicemail – non-sales inquiries like complaints, feedback, confirmations, vendor calls, or delivery updates.
  • Hang-up – callers who disconnect before saying what they need (e.g., spam or wrong-number calls).

This makes your call stats clearer, reduces clutter, and ensures every real lead is tracked automatically.

Bonus: Examples of recent customizations!

AI Names: Kate, Avi, Nicole, Janet, Mark

Smart inventory prompts:
Getting customers talking naturally:
“Imagine you’re walking through your front door and giving me a quick tour...”

Helping them remember overlooked areas:
“Sometimes people forget hallways, foyers, and patios — any other rooms or spaces we should include?”

Getting ahead of objections:
“As a heads up, we can’t move that grand piano — but we can recommend another mover who can help!”

Valuation upsell preview:
“I’ll just note that we offer valuation coverage if you’d like extra peace of mind. The team can share more details when you connect.”

Self-Storage flows:
One mover with self-storage customized their AI to answer pricing questions and guide customers to book online – fully automated!

🚀 What’s new in Chariot

🏷️ Add saved, color-coded tags to leads & jobs

Tags are now easier and more powerful. Instead of typing them out each time, you can create Saved Tags – complete with colors and even emojis.

Use them across leads and jobs, filter on them with Saved Views, and quickly spot context like VIP customer, Spanish speaker, callback needed, or whatever is important to your team.

→ Find/ edit them from Settings > General > Lead/Job Configuration.

You can add/ edit them on each job from the “quick view” (we’ll be adding them to the “Intake” tab soon)

→ You can also add them from the leads/ jobs tables – if a tag you write matches a Saved Tag, it will automatically color code.

📃 Easier estimate format customization

We’ve simplified the way you control what customers see on estimates. Just click FORMAT for a cleaner list of options.

Reminder: You should NOT need to customize these details every time. Instead, set up saved formats and templates you can load-up automatically. Reach out to support@chariotmove and we’ll make sure you’re set up for success!

📱Mobile-friendly header

Leads and jobs now look cleaner on smartphones, with quick view, stage changer, and actions always in reach. More mobile improvements are on the way.

Pro tip: If you’re often using Chariot on a phone, we recommend adding it as a web app to your home screen. Learn more here!

✏️ Change job stage in fewer clicks

No more clicking through the Actions menu – just click the stage itself to update with 1 click.

📊 More insights in the Full Job Export

The report now includes:

  • Lead creation date/time
  • Breakouts for moving, packing, and storage services
  • Separate fields for Origin/Destination state & zip
  • Estimate sent date/time
  • Job result notes, crew notes, and tags

To keep this report running fast, exports are now limited to 6-month chunks, but you can combine periods – or reach out to support@chariotmove.com if you need help pulling multi-year data in one go.

💪 Other small-but-mighty changes

  • Slimmer left menu with more contrast for easier reading on small screens
  • Estimator iPad App improvements for more reliable offline saving/syncing. If you’d like to try it, reach out to support@chariotmove.com!
  • Dispatched / assigned movers on the job schedule now show in order of role (Crew Leaders → Helpers, etc), based on the role order you set in Resources > Role Management.
  • Tips and Credit Card Fees now have their own charge categories in reports
  • Lead/Job tabs (Intake, Inventory, Estimate, etc.) stay pinned when scrolling on desktop
  • Text threads now shows a banner when there are new messages to view in a thread, so you don’t miss anything.

Sounds complicated? It’s not! Learn more on how it works here and ping us if you’d like to have the feature turned on!
  • 📹 LiveSwitch Office Videos now appear in quick view and the crew’s inventory summary. Reminder: Want your movers to capture videos for walkthroughs? We also have a feature for that – let us know if you’d like it turned on.
  • ▶️ New “First Source” Field shows how your lead got into Chariot – web form, API, office, or AI Voice Assistant. It’s on your Leads/Jobs dashboards and job export. Using saved Views? You may need to update them if you want this field added – reach out if you need help.
  • 👷📅 Job Activities now display at the top of each schedule event in bold – making work plans easier to see, especially for multi-day jobs.
  • 📄 Estimate Options: You can now hide the dates section (for TBD moves) and the total amount at the top (if you’d prefer it less front-and-center).
  • 🪖 New Customer Type: Military – now available alongside Residential and Commercial. Turn it on in Settings > General > Lead/Job Configuration.

Small but mighty updates:

  • Multi-day jobs with multiple crews / work dates per day show more logically on the schedule
  • Added totals row to the “Job Results Charges” report (easy to see all revenue for period)

Highlights and deep dives 🔍

Email / Text Template Editor

Previously, if you want to update your templated Chariot email and texts – or add your own custom email templates – you’d have to message our support team. No longer!*

From Settings > Edit Message Templates, you can now edit and create email and SMS templates on your own. For emails, you can add custom formatting, colors (backgrounds and text), videos, social links, dividers, attachments, and more!

You’ll use “merge tags” to add dynamic content (customer name, links to estimates, review request buttons, etc.) throughout your message templates.

*Two notes about this:

  • (1) If you want assistance updating / adding templates – especially more complex ones – we’re still here to help! Don’t hesitate to loop us in.
  • (2) Today, you can only edit existing templates if you were previously using a default template without customizations. For templates you’ve customized, we’re still working to convert them over to the new email/ text editor (if you need edits in the meantime, message us and we’ll do it the old-school way!)

LiveSwitch Videos from Quick View/ Crew Summary

Previously, LiveSwitch videos had to be viewed from the Inventory tab for a job. Now they’re conveniently accessible from the “quick view”.

The videos are now also viewable by the movers in their job summary!

New “First Source” Field

We wanted to make it easier for you to track HOW your customers got into your sales funnel – and to enable better reporting around this (e.g., how many booked jobs did I get from the AI Voice Assistant last month?).

The new “First Source” field in your Leads/ Jobs dashboards – and full job export, now enables this. More to come!

New Estimate Formatting Options

Under “FORMAT” for an estimate, you can now hide the move dates section from the top of the estimate (for TBD moves) or the total estimate that shows on top (if you prefer the customer has to scroll down to see it).

Note: that if you do a multi-day move with TBD dates, this might not fully solve the issue. If you’re showing charge details and breaking out charges by date, out by date, the dates will show in the charges section. We have a follow-up queued-up for this.

Multi-Location Improvements

If you have access to multiple Chariot accounts – for example, you work in sales for a multi-location company – switching between accounts is now as simple as clicking on the account toggle in the top-left of Chariot!

🤖 AI Voice Intake Assistant

Chariot’s AI Voice Intake Assistant answers phone calls from new customers, gathers move details, and creates leads in Chariot—complete with summaries, transcripts, and follow-up confirmation emails/texts. It sounds (almost) human, runs 24/7, handles multiple calls at once, and is customizable for your company’s needs.

The goal: increase your bookings by capturing and setting up every lead for success–even when you’re not available. And give your sales team hours back to focus on high-value tasks.

🎥 Demo Recordings:

❓Getting Started

We’re giving a set of customers early access who participated in our research/ development and joined our waitlist. If you want to be included in the next group that gets access join the waitlist!

📤 New Email / Text Template Builder & Editor Rollout

Last month we announced that new Chariot customers were getting access to a new dynamic email and text editor. No need to reach out to Chariot for edit (though we can help!) -- plus, it supports more dynamic layouts with photos, columns, videos, and more.

Over the next ~2 weeks, we’re transitioning all customers to have access to the editor. Any default Chariot emails and texts you use will be tweaked/ upgraded slightly, and all of your custom emails, texts, or customizations will remain as-is.

Stay tuned! Click HERE to see a sneak peek

📹 LiveSwitch videos – from field or office:

In addition to emailing/ texting video links and recording live video calls in Chariot, users of our LiveSwitch Integration can now also start a live recording in the field. Contact us if you’d like this feature on for your company!

How it works:

Office users can start recording video instantly from Inventory > Video on a job – for example, taking a video during an onsite estimate/survey

Crew users can be given permission to record live videos in the field – for example, recording a walkthrough at the beginning or end of a job.

Video walkthrough:
Chariot | Start Videos from the Field in LiveSwitch - Watch Video

🏢 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Easier commercial + multi-contact job management:

Previously in Chariot, you could:

  • Create and re-use customers (like commercial accounts)
  • Set multiple contacts for a job

But now, in addition, you can:

✅ Add multiple contacts to a Customer profile (e.g., Head of Department 1, Head of Department 2)

✅ Create multiple jobs under a Commercial Customer with different main contacts (e.g., Doing work for Chariot – Job A is for Ian Rapoport (CEO), Job B is for Srdjan Krstic (CTO).

✅ Add contacts to a job from the Customer’s profile and set additional contacts to get automated emails and be automatically cc’d when sending templated email (like a booking confirmation).

⚙️ Role-based settings/ permissions

Last month we introduced a revamped Company-wide settings screen to users with Owner roles (General > Settings).

We have now fully rolled out this revamped Company-Wide Settings Screen AND Role-Based Settings, giving you more control over what your team can do in Chariot.

What this means:

  • Everyone at your moving company can see the Settings > General > Company-Wide settings
  • But by default, only owner-users can edit these settings
  • But now, owners can choose which roles can edit each Company-Wide Setting

Owners can also set various role-based permissions via Settings > General > By Role

💸 Simpler Storage invoice flows

It’s now easier to take or log a payment against an unpaid storage invoice.

Just click on the “3 dots” next to the Storage invoice, then select an option like Charge Card, Log Payment, or Log ACH to take a payment against that invoice. The invoice will be marked paid and the payment will be logged automatically.

More to come on Storage billing enhancements!

📈 The small but mighty 💪

Reporting improvements

  • The beta widgets/ reports are now working properly for multi-site accounts
  • The “Jobs by Source” report now has totals at the bottom – making it easy to see the total jobs booked, created, or with an estimate signed over any period.
  • We added the “Job Results Notes” to the Outstanding Balances report. This allows users to note the context for an unpaid balance in the Job Results Notes, and then see all these notes in one place alongside outstanding balances.

Estimate enhancements

  • You can show the number of stories and access method for each location on your estimates! Click “FORMAT” and click the relevant customizations on for each estimate – or if you always want this on, reach out and we can update your default settings.
  • Any charge with a category of “Materials” will now show in the Packing section of an estimate (previously it only showed charges with a category of “Packing”).
  • You now have to click the “^” button to close/ open each section of the Estimate or Results tabs (previously clicking anywhere in the header did this – creating occasional confusing)

Move Invoice Upgrads

  • Move invoices now include the date sent at the top
  • When sending an invoice, hide the charge details or only show a total amount.

Miscellaneous

  • Inventory search now includes better alphabetical sorting (if you type “sofa”, “Sofa - 2 piece” will always show before “Sofa - 3 piece”, etc.)
  • Notifications “in the bell” of Chariot are now smartphone/ mobile-optimized
  • The Chariot web forms now force the customer to choose a custom move date (it previously defaulted to today’s date) and no longer allows them to select a date in the past.

Coming soon: AI Voice Intake Assistant

Early testers have been excited about our upcoming AI Voice Intake Assistant's potential to capture more leads, fill sales team gaps, and tee up closing opportunities for your moving company with less work.

The basics of how it works:

Things we've heard:

  • “We spend a lot of money trying to get customers to call us, and we miss them off hours… this will significantly improve the odds of us getting them booked”
  • “This is a million times better than the AI I’ve used in the past”
  • “This is way better than voicemail – it will cut down on the time I spent reviewing them and manually inputting moves into Chariot”

Email / Text Editor!

New Chariot customers now have access to a dynamic email and text editor, allowing them to edit the content of all their default messages without Chariot support (though we can still help!).

For emails, it allows you to do things like:

  • Customize formatting, colors, and spacing
  • Insert dynamic fields like links to estimates
  • Add custom attachments
  • Set up new ad-hoc emails you can send at any time
  • Add videos, social links, images, tables, and lines

We’ll be rolling out / converting over existing moving companies to this feature very soon.

New General Settings Page

We’re giving users more control over all the customization Chariot has to offer. Chariot 'Owner' users now have access to a new General Settings page where they can manage key company-level settings.

In the next few weeks, we’ll be taking this further by launching:

  • The ability to customize which users are able to edit different types of settings on this page
  • Role and user-level settings / permissions (controlling who has access to certain pages/ features)

If you want any non-Owner users on your team to have access – or if you’re ever curious about customizations that are possible, reach out to us for help!

Mobile improvements

When you open the main menu on a phone, it now opens full screen (instead of “squishing” content) and when you click into a page, it will close automatically – saving multiple clicks / presses for you.

At Chariot we regularly use our software on a phone – so we know there are some areas we can still improve mobile functionality – more to come.

Widget / Reporting improvements

Last product announcement we launched “Widgets” on the homepage. Today, Widgets are rectangular charts/ insights you can organize on the screen – but the future is making the homepage fully customizable with Widgets so you can fully customize your experience!

In the meantime, we’ve added new Widgets to help you see your jobs and revenue for the day, week, and month more easily.

To add them to your Chariot experience, go: Home > “Beta” (top right) > “+Widget” and make sure the new Widgets are selected.

Additionally, the Full Job Export now breaks out First and Last move date instead of all move dates. This makes it much easier to quickly analyze time-based questions about jobs for a certain time period.
