  Hi there,
Back with many small-but-mighty product changes and a preview of some bigger ones coming your way!
• 💳 Chariot can now fully automatically apply a card fee / non-discount to any payment that is made by card through Chariot
• 📹 Wednesday we announced that Chariot is now integrated with LiveSwitch, allowing users to collect videos and conduct virtual surveys by sending a link or starting a video call without leaving Chariot. Learn more about it here and reach out if you have any questions.
• 🚚 The crew experience now includes a variety of “guardrails” to prevent the most common mover mistakes, and shortly will be updated with an improved Bill of Lading and Photos tab.
• 🤓Users can now can more easily control the columns, filters, and row height of the leads, jobs, and archives pages
• 🧾 You can now download/ print an invoice pdf without sending it
• 🏋️💲 It’s now simpler to customize pay rates by mover by role (requires role and pay management is turned on – let us know if you’re interested)
• 🔽 We can now show movers on the job schedule (under “Resources”) sorted by role, in an order of your choosing (note: not exposed to users to edit themselves yet -- it will be next week! - reach out if you’d like this set up earlier)
• 🙈 We added a estimate formatting option that allows moving cos to hide the inventory list but show the total weight and/or volume
Reminders!
• 📦 Storage Management: Let us know if you’re interested in getting access to our storage module for organizing/ automating storage tracking and recurring billing!
• ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Auto-review feature changes: When a customer gives you 5-stars through the Chariot review feature, we now skip the step of leaving you feedback in Chariot and direct them right away to post online – we’re seeing a higher rate of public posts as a result. If you prefer, we can also have the automated review email link every customer directly to a review site, instead of the “Chariot” review experience. Reach out if you have questions/ requests – or if we haven’t set up this feature for you yet!
Happy moving! We’re here to help if you need anything. More to come 😀.

❓ Why we built this:
Today, card fees in Chariot can be added with 1 click to an estimate, invoice, or bill of lading. But we wanted to make adding the fee more seamless, less mistake-prone, and more flexible for situations where the bill is split between different payment methods.
🔍 How it works:
When you collect a card payment, Chariot will display the subtotal and then the total with card fee/ non-discounts added to the payment amount – whether it’s via a payment link, deposit, invoice, or payment collected from the field.
Payments with card fees will have a special icon indicating that a fee was included. The fees will not count towards the balance of the job but will count towards revenue collected.
✋ What’s next / want early access?
We’ve started to roll out this new card fee model to moving companies who are particularly eager for this feature. If you’re one of them, reach out to us and we’ll go over the next steps.
We’ve added new and improved alerts and warnings to the mover experience to reduce common mistakes. These include:
• Warning a mover if they start a Bill of Lading (BoL) before starting the time clock
• Showing if an active time tracking session is linked – or not – to a BoL (they need to be linked for time-tracking to auto-generate times and hourly charges on the bill)
• Warning the mover if they try to complete a BoL with no charges on it – or try to complete a time tracking not tied to a BoL
• Enhancing and simplifying the Bill of Lading tab
--> Also, shortly the photos tab on a job will also displays a gallery of photos without needing to click “Upload photo” to see them.
Easily control lead/job/archive pages
We’ve added a widget above the Leads, Jobs, and Archives table that allows you to more easily control table columns, filters, and row height. You can also export the tables (for example, download a table of all your open leads) to a spreadsheet.
Pro tips!
• You can also control the ORDER of the columns by drag-and-dropping the columns with your mouse
• You can save down custom views with sorts and filters of your choosing! Some ideas here.
You can quickly print out an invoice pdf via the “Send Invoice” button.
Simpler customization of pay rates by mover
Reminder: Default pay rates by role are managed via the Role Management Page (another reminder: we can customize these roles to your liking!), and if you have pay management on, hourly pay due will appear in Mover Reports. If you need your set up adjusted for this, let us know!
Additionally, on the Resources → Movers page, you can add custom (overrides the default rate) pay rates for each mover (this was previously a bit more complex). If you don’t add a custom pay rate, the mover will get the same pay rate for that role.
We can now show movers on the job schedule (under “Resources”) sorted by role, in an order of your choosing (note: not exposed to users to edit themselves yet - next week you'll be able to edit it yourself under --> Resources --> Role Management; reach out if you’d like this set up earlier). For example, Leads, then Drivers, then Helpers!

  Hi there,
We're excited to introduce our integration with LiveSwitch, the fastest-growing video and virtual survey platform for moving companies!

❓ Why we built this
To help movers completing Time Tracking and a Bill of Lading in case they forget key steps.
💡 How it works
Movers will now see context-specific banners to ensure accurate Time Tracking and Bill of Lading completion. Note: these changes are only relevant for Chariot customers with Time Tracking enabled.
❓ Why we built this
To maximize lead submissions and streamline the customer experience.
💡 How it works
Chariot customers using the Chariot Short Form will see two changes:

❓ Why we built this
To ensure that signatures on digital estimate pages only are present for the version of the estimate that the customer signed.
💡 How it works
If you change an estimate after a customer has signed it, their signature will be cleared and they’ll be notified that the estimate has been updated from its original.
From the office side, you’ll see this banner on the Estimate page. You can choose to resend the customer the estimate (it won’t happen automatically). Here is an article covering Modified Job Stages.
Your customers will see this banner on their digital estimate, which will revert to an unsigned state.
❓ Why we built this
To allow you to more easily add and save custom-sized inventory items
💡 How it works

  Hi there,
Happy Wednesday! We’re excited to introduce Mover Role Management 2.0 – a set of updates that give you more flexibility when assigning movers to jobs, viewing capacity by role on the schedule, controlling mover permissions, and managing payroll data right in Chariot.
Role Management and Per Job Roles will be available in your account by default – contact us (support@chariotmove.com) if you want to turn on Capacity by Role and Pay Rate Configuration + Reporting.
❓ Why we built this
We know that movers often need to have different roles on different jobs – you now have the flexibility to assign, communicate and track that in Chariot.
💡 How it works
❓ Why we built this
There are many crew features in Chariot and we understand the importance of providing access to those features to the right movers at the right time.
💡 How it works
Users with the role of “Owner” will have access to a new tab in Resources > Role Management and will be able to update permissions, change role badge colors and assign default pay rates.
Reminder – roles themselves are customizable, just reach out to us and we can help you out!
❓ Why we built this
Having all of your data in one place is always helpful, so we’ve added the ability to configure pay rates and view basic payroll reports in Chariot. We have more payroll management features coming soon, so stay tuned!
💡 How it works
Role Management – Editing Default Rates for Roles
Movers – Editing Rates per Mover

Amos (on behalf of the Chariot team)

  Hi there,
Here’s a quick recap of all the new features and tools we rolled out in the 2nd half of November – details below!
❓ Why we built this
The Request Review feature allows you to more easily collect customer reviews, but there was previously no place to see all of your completed and incomplete reviews in one place.
💡 How it works
❓ Why we built this
Chariot’s Bulk Hide / Unhide feature allows you to plan out moves further in advance without making all schedule details visible to your movers, but until now this had to be done one job at a time. This update allows you to hide and unhide multiple jobs with just a few clicks.
💡 How it works
❓ Why we built this
In Chariot you can notify crews about their job assignments via text, but what if you’re not sure if you sent them the notification yet? What if you only want to message the new movers you’ve added last minute? This feature helps you (and your dispatchers) easily see if a crewmember has been notified about their job for the day.
💡 How it works
Go to Job Schedule > Day > Actions > Notify Crews, and you’ll see new the feature showing you if you a mover has already been notified for their job(s) on that schedule that day or not.

  Hi there,
Sharing one of our last updates of the year – see the highlights below and keep reading for details ⤵️
❓ Why we built this
To make it fast and easy to collect photos from customers for purposes of estimates and move prep.
💡 How it works
You can also embed this link in your automated email and text templates so that it fits right into your existing customer communication workflows (e.g., you could include it in a pre-move confirmation email).
❓ Why we built this
To allow office users to more easily see availability across each week when scheduling or re-scheduling a job.
💡 How it works
When you’re in the Week View, you can now easily see availability by track without needing to toggle back to the Day View.
❓ Why we built this
To make it easier to see the current estimate with fewer clicks (previously needed to click “Show Summary” → “View Estimate” or “Send Estimate” → “Preview”)
💡 How it works
Navigate to the Estimate page, and click the new Preview button to see what your customers will receive.

  Hi there,
Happy Friday! We’ve made some recent updates to help you track your marketing efforts, more clearly navigate the crew experience, and easily view work time details in Bills of Lading on mobile.
❓ Why we built this
We’ve added UTM tagging support to allow movers to track the performance of their marketing campaigns directly from Chariot reporting. By passing these tags into Chariot, you can gain insights into which specific campaigns, sources, or channels are driving leads and conversions, enabling you to analyze and optimize marketing efforts.
💡 How it works
❓ Why we built this
We improved the mobile layout of the Work Times table on the Bills of Lading to support better readability for crew members and customers.
💡 How it works
You’ll see these changes reflected in your BoLs!
Best,
Amos (on behalf of the Chariot team!)

  Hi there,
We’ve added notifications for new Customer Reviews (email or in-app) so that your team can know as soon as a customer submits a review in Chariot – you can turn this on for any office user in Settings > Notifications.
Reminder – if you’d like us to set up Automated Reviews or point customers to 3rd party sites (like Google) as part of the Review flow, reach out to support@chariotmove.com and we’ll get you set up.
Also new 🔽

  Hi there,
We’ve rolled out Time-stamped Notes (“Notes Log”) which allows office users to log job updates (call history, sales updates, etc.) in one place for easy reference.
To date, Chariot notes fields have been static, meaning users can’t view when a note was created. Additionally, because all notes were stored in a single field, important updates were at risk of being overwritten.
We understand that managing time-tracking and the Bill of Lading, on top of other move day responsibilities, can be challenging for crewmembers. This update helps simplify that process by visually indicating which timeline activities contribute to the billable hourly rate.
Crew members will now see an icon next to each activity, showing whether it’s billable or not.
