Hi there,
Happy Friday! We’ve made some recent updates to help you track your marketing efforts, more clearly navigate the crew experience, and easily view work time details in Bills of Lading on mobile.
❓ Why we built this
We’ve added UTM tagging support to allow movers to track the performance of their marketing campaigns directly from Chariot reporting. By passing these tags into Chariot, you can gain insights into which specific campaigns, sources, or channels are driving leads and conversions, enabling you to analyze and optimize marketing efforts.
💡 How it works
❓ Why we built this
We improved the mobile layout of the Work Times table on the Bills of Lading to support better readability for crew members and customers.
💡 How it works
You’ll see these changes reflected in your BoLs!
Best,
Amos (on behalf of the Chariot team!)
Hi there,
We’ve added notifications for new Customer Reviews (email or in-app) so that your team can know as soon as a customer submits a review in Chariot – you can turn this on for any office user in Settings > Notifications.
Reminder – if you’d like us to set up Automated Reviews or point customers to 3rd party sites (like Google) as part of the Review flow, reach out to support@chariotmove.com and we’ll get you set up.

Hi there,
We’ve rolled out Time-stamped Notes (“Notes Log”) which allows office users to log job updates (call history, sales updates, etc.) in one place for easy reference.
To date, Chariot notes fields have been static, meaning users can’t view when a note was created. Additionally, because all notes were stored in a single field, important updates were at risk of being overwritten.
We understand that managing time-tracking and the Bill of Lading, on top of other move day responsibilities, can be challenging for crewmembers. This update helps simplify that process by visually indicating which timeline activities contribute to the billable hourly rate.
Crew members will now see an icon next to each activity, showing whether it’s billable or not.
Hi there,
Happy October! The leaves are falling here in New York, and we’re excited to drop some long-awaited feature updates for you. Take a look at what’s new below, and as always, feel free to reach out if there's anything we can improve.
❓ Why we built this
We’re always focused on streamlining your operations and reducing manual steps in the job booking process. If a job is reserved on the Job Schedule and a customer signs an estimate, that job will be booked automatically (vs. requiring additional steps to book).
💡 How it works
❓ Why we built this
We know that pulling together the materials you need for a day’s jobs can be difficult and time-consuming – this feature allows you to generate a list of packing material needs (based on your job estimates) for a day in one click.
💡 How it works
On the Schedule > Day View page, click “Actions” then Print Packing List. This will open a PDF in another webpage that you can then share or print. The list is based on any charges from the estimate that have a category of “Packing” or “Materials.”
❓ Why we built this
We know that move days are hectic and we’ve received a lot of feedback about removing the ability for movers to provide discounts without office approval.
💡 How it works
Authorized users will have to add any discounts on the office side in Results or by opening up the BoL (Results > BoL Actions > Open Digital BoL).
Hi there,
We’re super excited to introduce Automated Reviews today, which will allow you to easily request reviews from your customers, all within Chariot. Also sharing a couple other smaller updates, including new Drag and Drop Functionality on the Schedule and the ability for Office Users to Mark a Job as Confirmed. Please reach out if you’re interested in getting early access to the Automated Reviews feature!
❓ Why we built this
We know how important customer reviews are to your business and we want to make collecting reviews as simple and effective as possible.
💡 How it works
Please reach out to support@chariotmove.com and we’ll get you set up! Please include:
Sending a review request from the office app
A customer filling out a review and then being prompted to share to 3rd party sites
You can now drag a resource anywhere on the Schedule to assign the resource to a Track. We received a lot of feedback on this, as previously you had to drag a resource into only the “Resources” section in order for it to “stick.” Happy Scheduling! 😀
On the Schedule page, you can mark a Job as Confirmed. Previously, Jobs could only be “Confirmed” by customers. This new office-side functionality can help provide dispatchers and schedulers with additional reassurance that a Job is confirmed if customers aren’t able to confirm the Job (or confirm in some other way, like over the phone).
Hi Chariot User,

❓ Why we built this
We know that it’s important for you to track tips when you’re looking at your payroll data, much of which comes from Chariot. So, we made it easy to see tip information alongside your basic time-worked reports. We’ll have more on the Payroll front coming soon, stay tuned 😉.
💡 How it works
Just go to Reporting > Movers > Reported Time Worked by Movers or Reporting > Movers > Time Worked by Mover and you’ll be able to see two new columns (Tips - Pro-Rated and Tips - Even Split) in these reports.
Tips - Even Split: calculates the tip evenly across movers on the job, regardless of time worked
Tips - Pro-Rated: calculates the tip share for the movers based on time worked
❓ Why we built this
You are now able to slice a handful of reports by Booked At Date and Created At date (rather than just Last Move Date) to better understand your lead activity.
💡 How it works
Select a report (we’ve added these different filtering options to the following reports: Conversion Rate by Sales Owner, Booked/Forecasted Revenue, Booked/Forecasted Revenue by Month and Jobs by Source) and then “Filter By” and you’ll see the new options.
Booked At: will include data for Jobs that were Booked within this date range
Created At: will include data for Leads/Jobs that were created within this date range
❓ Why we built this
Moves are stressful for your customers – we want to do everything we can to help you provide them with a great experience. This was a small piece of feedback but one we received quite often, and we’re happy to introduce a small change which helps prevent confusion when customers are reading digital estimates.
💡 How it works
The Description for a Charge is now consolidated into one column containing a Charge + Description so that users can see the full rate and total information without needing to scroll.

All the best,

🔮 In the works: Descriptive inventory, sales owner assigned notifications, Customers page/ features, per-job mover roles, and payroll logic, QuickBooks sync improvements, report updates…
❓ Why we built this
With Chariot, it should be easy to know what happened on a move without waiting to ask the crew. We wanted to add a way for crews to log notes about the move day that are instantly visible in the office.
💡 How it works
Crew Leads (if you want Helpers to have access, let us know) will see a new “Crew Notes” option in the mover experience. They can add notes, which are automatically timestamped. Their notes can be seen under “Crew Notes” on the Results tab.
❓ Why we built this
Adding a memo to an invoice is common practice, but we previously didn’t support this option in Chariot.
💡 How it works
When sending an invoice from the Results tab, click “+ Invoice Memo” and add your notes. They will appear above the charges on the digital invoice and pdf version.
❓ Why we built this
Previously movers and trucks had to be removed from a track one by one – resulting in extra clicks/ time for users.
💡 How it works
Above the track, click the 3 dots, then the “remove” icon. All movers and trucks will be removed from the track.

🍺 Refresher
Soon we'll be releasing Chariot’s first storage management solution. It’s designed to help movers track storage jobs in their warehouse, manage changes, invoice customers, and collect automatic payments – all from Chariot, with no need for separate systems.
💡 What’s new
The latest beta (in testing phase with customers) version of this feature now includes most of the core feature set, including invoices and recurring payments/ invoices.
We’ve also built out initial training materials and videos, like this one:
🏃 Want to test it out?
Reach out to support@chariotmove.com and we’ll quickly get you started!
❓ Why we built this
Many Chariot moving companies use Chariot on a tablet for on-site estimates/surveys – but it has needed an internet connection. We wanted to allow estimators to do their on-sites when they have no internet.
💡 How it works
You can download our tablet app from the Apple or Google Play store. Once we enable access for your company, you can log in, download leads, work on them offline, and re-sync them later when reconnected to the internet.
Today, the app includes the same functionality as the intake and inventory pages of Chariot.
🏃 Want to give it a try?
The app is also in the beta stage, meaning it’s functional but we’re still improving functionality and performance as we test with real users. Download the app (Apple, Android) on your tablet, and reach out to support@chariotmove.com!
❓ Why we built this
Many movers round up hourly work times to the nearest 15 minutes, or a different interval, for billing and payroll purposes. Previously, Chariot calculated exact work times. Rounding was done manually.
💡 How it works
Once set up, when work times are entered – or generated via the mover time tracking feature – final work times will round automatically.
🏃 Getting started
You guessed it: reach out to support@chariotmove.com!
🍺 Refresher
In Chariot, you can assign movers to a “track” (a crew/ truck for the day) or to individual jobs. More here.
❓ Why we built this
Previously, dispatching movers to individual jobs required the user hover over a mover’s name, then click a button in a popup. This interaction could be finicky for some users, and since you cannot hover on a mobile device, prevented this way of dispatching on phones/ tablets.
💡 How it works
Click on a job → use the “assign movers” dropdown → pick a mover
“Booked / Forecasted Revenue” (Previously: “Booked / Forecasted Revenue by Month”):
This report measures historical revenue or forecast upcoming revenue/ cash -- and now you can break down this report by day, month, or week, for any period.
“Sales Process” (NEW!)
Review all the leads handled by a salesperson / owner for a time period, with details on the status of each lead.
“Revenue/ Spending per month by Source” (NEW!)
The “Jobs by Source” report already lets you review performance / ROI of various lead sources. This new report lets you drill down into a single source over time, with a list of the specific jobs generated via that source.
We're overdue for a product update!
Reach out to support@chariotmove.com if you have requests/ questions related to these features!
Quick summary:
More details are below, and more are on the way!

Previously, work times (start, stop, non-billed time) had to be manually inputted into Bills of Lading in Chariot. With time tracking, we wanted to:
When the feature is on, crew leaders will see a "time tracking" tab on the job's crew page. To start tracking, they'll confirm the crew, and hourly rate (if applicable -- *and based on your auto-synced hourly rate setup*), and start activity.
This starts a timeline -- and a work time on the Bill of Lading.
Throughout the move, the crew leader can track breaks, driving, or other activities. They can also change the crew and rate mid-move! Note that these activities are 100% customizable -- so you can use fundamental tracking (started move, ended move, etc.) or more detailed tracking (driving to the origin, loading, unloading, etc.).
At the end of the move, the Bill of Lading will automatically generate the work times, crews, and hourly rates. The crew can add other charges and edit the bill as needed.
In the office, the Results tab will include a "time log" with details on the crew timeline, showing the app-based and manually edited activity times
Message us if you'd like to start using this feature. We'll quickly discuss your personalized setup and turn it on for you!
Many Chariot moving companies offer storage to their clients. Today, the details and billing of these storage jobs are often done manually, leading to extra hours of administrative time and payment delays. Chariot's storage module intends to give movers this time back, simplify billing, and improve organization, with storage and moving operations tied together.
We're ready to share a preliminary version of this storage module that allows for basic warehouse setup, inputting storage job info, and taking one-time payments. In the coming weeks, we're adding automated invoices/payment schedules, more refined organization, and more.
We're looking for moving companies to start testing what we've built and providing feedback on the final iterations to ensure it meets their need. Message us if you'd like to be a part of this! We'll turn on the current version for you and guide you on how to get started!
Chariot has "Leads," "Jobs," and "Archive" dashboards meant to help users quickly see all their relevant sales ops, upcoming jobs, and historical jobs on one screen.
Previously, when a user viewed these pages, they always loaded with the same default columns and sorting. You could sort and filter from there, but this takes extra time.
Now you can save down the "views" of these most useful dashboards so they load by default or with 2 clicks.
Here's a 2-minute overview of the basics...
... And some saved view ideas to get you started!
Users in Chariot can "lock" a day on the schedule, preventing any new jobs from being booked on that day.
We received requests only to allow certain users (for example, owners, dispatchers, etc.) to use this feature to prevent inappropriate use.
Using the "Lock" is now a user-based setting. You can't set this up yourself yet, but if you'd like to start limiting usage to certain people, please message us and let us know!
Our latest enhancement allows movers to input deducted time in both hours and minutes, and here's the game-changer – Chariot now seamlessly converts this time into a decimal value. This means no more manual calculations or converting hassles for you or your team!
We understand that time is of the essence in your busy schedules, and this improvement is designed to make your workflow even more efficient. With Chariot handling the conversion, you can focus on what you do best while we take care of the details.
