Previously, work times (start, stop, non-billed time) had to be manually inputted into Bills of Lading in Chariot. With time tracking, we wanted to:
When the feature is on, crew leaders will see a "time tracking" tab on the job's crew page. To start tracking, they'll confirm the crew, and hourly rate (if applicable -- *and based on your auto-synced hourly rate setup*), and start activity.
This starts a timeline -- and a work time on the Bill of Lading.
Throughout the move, the crew leader can track breaks, driving, or other activities. They can also change the crew and rate mid-move! Note that these activities are 100% customizable -- so you can use fundamental tracking (started move, ended move, etc.) or more detailed tracking (driving to the origin, loading, unloading, etc.).
At the end of the move, the Bill of Lading will automatically generate the work times, crews, and hourly rates. The crew can add other charges and edit the bill as needed.
In the office, the Results tab will include a "time log" with details on the crew timeline, showing the app-based and manually edited activity times

Many Chariot moving companies offer storage to their clients. Today, the details and billing of these storage jobs are often done manually, leading to extra hours of administrative time and payment delays. Chariot's storage module intends to give movers this time back, simplify billing, and improve organization, with storage and moving operations tied together.
We're ready to share a preliminary version of this storage module that allows for basic warehouse setup, inputting storage job info, and taking one-time payments. In the coming weeks, we're adding automated invoices/payment schedules, more refined organization, and more.
We're looking for moving companies to start testing what we've built and providing feedback on the final iterations to ensure it meets their need. Message us if you'd like to be a part of this! We'll turn on the current version for you and guide you on how to get started!
Chariot has "Leads," "Jobs," and "Archive" dashboards meant to help users quickly see all their relevant sales ops, upcoming jobs, and historical jobs on one screen.
Previously, when a user viewed these pages, they always loaded with the same default columns and sorting. You could sort and filter from there, but this takes extra time.
Now you can save down the "views" of these most useful dashboards so they load by default or with 2 clicks.
Here's a 2-minute overview of the basics...
... And some saved view ideas to get you started!
Users in Chariot can "lock" a day on the schedule, preventing any new jobs from being booked on that day.
We received requests only to allow certain users (for example, owners, dispatchers, etc.) to use this feature to prevent inappropriate use.
Using the "Lock" is now a user-based setting. You can't set this up yourself yet, but if you'd like to start limiting usage to certain people, please message us and let us know!
