Proposal Statuses and Custom Proposal and Invoice IDs

Two updates went live this week that make proposals easier to track and your paperwork easier to match up with your other systems. Here's what shipped.

Proposals Now Show Draft and Sent Status

Proposals now have Draft and Sent statuses, just like invoices. At a glance, you can tell whether a proposal has actually gone out to the homeowner or is still waiting on you. Once a proposal is marked Sent, it can't go back to Draft, but you can keep editing it until it's accepted or rejected.

Edit Your Proposal and Invoice IDs

Until now, CompanyCam generated the ID on every proposal and invoice, and you couldn't change it. If you track jobs in another system, that meant matching IDs by hand. Now you can edit the ID to follow your own naming convention, so your CompanyCam paperwork lines up with the rest of your records. IDs can't be left blank, and they default to the automatic ID if you don't change them.
