We've made some improvements to help facilitators manage active learners and courses more easier!

Longest without progress

The Longest Without Progress tile now focuses on active learners only. And on the learner list (when using the Time since last progress increase filter), inactive learners will display at the bottom.

Easier navigation

Navigation controls are now available at both the top and bottom of the Class Console learner list, making it easier to move between pages without needing to scroll back up.

No more double ups

We've improved how learner names are displayed in Talk channels and end-of-page discussions. If a learner hasn't set a preferred name, their legal name will now be shown only once instead of appearing twice.

Flexibility for managing Talk Channels

Activation managers can now reorder and delete public Talk channels, even after a course has been activated! Once deleted, channels are no longer visible to facilitators or learners.

Faster Class Console performance

We've made behind-the-scenes performance improvements to the Class Console, resulting in faster load times and a smoother experience when viewing learner information.

• Design refresh of course cards on the learner dashboard to make them easier to scan and navigate. Update includes quick links to key course areas, including Tasks making it quicker to access assessments and other course activities. This update is part of our ongoing work to improve the learner experience.
• If a learner or facilitator starts a Talk post and navigates away their draft Talk post will persist on return.
• Editing a Talk channel description no longer requires page reload to display updated description.
• When the language selector is changed from within a class, it now works as expected and the language changes successfully.
• When editing a task variation, if cancel is selected, it behaves as expected and no edits are saved.

• Facilitators can now see on the class console when a learner has been awarded a badge via the API.
• Email sent to alert learners there is a pulse to answer includes a direct link to their learning environment.
• API endpoint no longer resulting in a 500 error when called (https://iqualify.readme.io/reference/coursecontroller_getreportedcourses).
• Content reports can be made to content housed in an iframe.
• Filter to only see your unread messages in public talk channels.
• Filter to see how many unanswered messages there are awaiting replies in private talk channels
• Mark talk messages as unread to come back to them later.
• Likes on a message will no longer trigger the unread indicator (green dot).
• Unanswered counter for private talk channels now counts all messages, not just ones in the current view.
• Account setting option added to supress the Welcome to iQualify email (all roles) and You've been added to a course emails (learner, facilitator and coach).

And just a quick note on Private Talk channels and how the unanswered filter and counter now work. In the past the counter for this filter, only showed the unread messages on your current view, now the counter shows all unanswered messages, for this reason (and as a one off) all unanswered private talk messages older than a year will no longer be marked as unanswered.

• Learners now have a consistent view of submissions and past attempts for multi choice tasks, both views show which the learner got correct, incorrect and which answers they should have chosen as correct.
• If a page has been removed from a course, and a learner tries to access it, they will be redirected to the course contents page.
• Improvements to create consistent behaviour making sure that talk channel subscription options apply and stick.
• Improvements to allow seamless uninterrupted flow for learners submitting file upload tasks in case of outages.
• Fix to stop view jumping when trying to edit a large Talk message.
• Fix to the quiz task counter to increase as expected when the quiz has a strict timer applied.
• Improved accessibility for inline references.

Assessment locking improvements:

• Facilitators/coaches are now able to see the lock status for learner tasks.
• Facilitators/coaches can manually unlock an task for a specific learner via the class console.
• If authors update the assessment unlocking condition, existing learner submissions will have the locking condition applied.

We’ve improved how assessment opening conditions behave when authors make changes.

When authors update opening conditions and republish, assessments open automatically for learners who now meet the criteria the next time they access the course.

From the Class console, facilitators and coaches can also unlock assessments for individual learners, making it easier to step in when support is needed.
