iQualify updates

To help you get the most out of your notifications we’ve given them a refresh!

• See at a glance what they’re about, we’ve given them headings and clearer wording and tags.
• Come back to them later, notifications no longer disappear when you first interact with them.
• Keep tabs on your unread messages, see from your dashboard how many unread messages you have.

Get an overview of notifications in iQualify.

• Fix to resources in Downloads so the default is to Show to learners.
• Fix to pagination of Search results when searching within a course.
• Fix to show the latest Pulse when viewing pulse responses.
• Fix to unsubscribe learners from Talk channels when their relative date has passed.
• Improvements to in-app notifications (see more in Notifications refresh).
• New quiz setting to prevent learners reattempting a quiz if they have passed (see more in Quiz thresholds for assessed quizzes).
• Fix to display special characters in Talk channel titles.

We’ve made some improvements to Talk, making a smoother more intuitive experience for both learners and facilitators, and this is just the beginning - with more social enhancements planned for 2026!

A search for socials
It’s now easier to find that post you were looking for! Search keywords or names and jump straight to the conversation.

​Clearer channels
Facilitators can now set clear Talk channel descriptions so everyone knows which channels to use.

​Easier posts
We found having to think up a title was a barrier to conversation. Now just simply add your comment, no title needed.

​Simpler replies
We’ve simplified comments/replies to just replying to the initial post (which also aligns with commonly used social media platforms).

​Better skimming and scanning
No more having to click in to read a post! Now we’ve got the content of the post right there. Fewer clicks for much better skimming and scanning.

We’ve introduced a new feature to make course handovers smoother.

With Course collaboration in Users, groups, and reporting account owners and user administrators can see all the courses an author has worked on (including drafts) and quickly add or remove collaborators.

This means easier handovers, clearer oversight, and less admin stress.

You’ll always get emails about account changes, invites to courses, and other system messages - so you won’t miss anything important.

Open My account, then Notifications to choose the emails you want to see!

• When a variation is added to a task, the default is to only show these variations to learners who have not yet seen or started the current task.
• Improvement to task upload speed when using Firefox.
• Pasted in content no longer changes the formatting of the whole text box where it's pasted into.
• Setting the number of quiz items per group now sticks.
• When creating a short text task type the prompt to set a correct answer only shows if you have not set one when the task is saved.
• Quiz submissions can be re-opened via the API.
• Small avatar images center and display correctly.
• Self-sign up no longer timing out unexpectedly.
• Improved learner experience when uploading and submitting file upload tasks. Learn more.
• Improvement to consistency for learner task status results.

In response to feedback, we’ve made improvements to the file upload task type to make submitting files smoother and less stressful for your learners.

We heard that sometimes learners would successfully upload their files but then fail to submit them, which could lead to missed deadlines and unnecessary stress, particularly during assessment periods.

Changes include UI and wording updates that make the process clearer, plus a new on-screen warning if a file is uploaded but not yet submitted.
​

These improvements mean better learner experiences, fewer missed deadlines and less stress around important tasks.
