Hi Everyone!
We’ve rolled out a new set of improvements across Luminous designed to make inventory management, order operations, and warehouse workflows faster and more flexible.
This release introduces powerful new automation capabilities, expanded import tools, improved return order management, and enhancements across sales orders, templates, and integrations.
Below is a breakdown of everything new.
Assembly workflows are now smarter and more automated. With the new Auto Assembly Automation Rule, Luminous can automatically create or complete assembly orders when required BOM components are received into inventory.
This removes the need for manual assembly triggers and ensures assemblies are completed as soon as inventory becomes available.
Key benefits
This significantly improves operational efficiency for warehouses managing kits or assembled products.
We’ve released several improvements that make Return Orders easier to track, manage, and process.
You can now view all return and refund orders in a dedicated grid-style list view, giving teams better visibility into return activity and outstanding returns.
Return orders can now be edited after creation, allowing teams to update details and mark items as restocked when received back into inventory.
Return orders now support custom fields, enabling businesses to track additional information such as:
These updates enable a full manual return workflow, allowing warehouse teams to:
This is particularly helpful for teams managing returns directly within Luminous as their WMS.
Sales orders can now be filtered using a date range for Earliest Ship Date instead of a single date.
This allows teams to easily identify orders that need to ship within a specific window — ideal for businesses managing shipping schedules or hold dates.
Users can now view and update overrides directly on each sales order line item, giving teams more granular control over order details without leaving the order view.
A new filter allows teams to identify duplicate sales orders directly within the Sales Order grid.
You can detect duplicates based on:
This helps quickly identify and resolve duplicate imports or integration issues.
HTML-based document templates now support advanced decimal precision formatting.
This allows you to control how quantities and costs appear on documents like:
For example:
PDF templates now allow precision formatting for Unit Cost and Quantity fields, enabling clearer and more consistent document formatting.
Packing slip templates can now display Channel SKU and Channel Product Name, helping warehouse teams quickly identify the exact products from marketplace or storefront listings.
A new Unified Importer simplifies large-scale product data imports.
Instead of importing data in multiple steps, you can now import several item types at once, including:
This dramatically speeds up onboarding and bulk catalog updates.
Transfer Orders can now be created in bulk using CSV imports.
Required fields include:
This makes it much easier to generate large batches of transfer orders between warehouses.
You can now upload line items into an existing transfer order via CSV, simplifying the process of adding large quantities of SKUs to a transfer order.
Google Sheets exports can now be scheduled, ensuring data is automatically synced on a regular basis without manual exports.
The Advanced Google Sheets integration has been expanded to support multiple users, enabling teams to collaborate with synced spreadsheet data across the organization.
The new Luminous Picking App is now live, providing warehouse teams with a streamlined interface for order picking.
The app is designed to improve:
Teams are currently using the app while we gather feedback for future improvements.
A new wholesale labelling feature has been introduced to support labelling requirements for bulk orders and wholesale operations.
This helps teams generate and manage labels specifically designed for wholesale fulfillment workflows.
SKUs and BOM records now include direct navigation links, making it easier to move between related records throughout the system.
The QuickBooks management interface has been reviewed and integrated into Luminous, improving financial integration workflows and system compatibility.
We’ve implemented a diagnostic tool to investigate and prevent issues where incorrect inventory quantities are pushed to Shopify.
This new functionality helps identify how quantities were calculated and ensures inventory sync accuracy moving forward.
We’ve launched a powerful new Variant Builder designed to simplify product variant creation.
This tool allows teams to quickly generate and manage product variants at scale, making catalog management faster and more flexible.
We’ve also released several product walkthroughs and educational videos, including:
These help customers better understand how to leverage new Luminous features.
As always, these improvements are focused on helping brands run faster, more scalable multi-channel operations across warehouses and sales channels.
More improvements are coming soon.
