7th September - 2025 release notes: New features are live

Magnity new features released: Add industry, duplicate persona, add industry to persona, use industry personas in Magnity, delete personalized variants, delete translated variants and more.

🤖 Add industry description (Admins)
Our “burger menu” on the left has been updated so everything pertaining to our back-end engine (rules, persona, crawler, etc.) is now called Content Engine. Under Content Engine, you can find a new option called Industries. Click this and create an industry description.

Use the persona descriptions, when either creating a new persona, editing an existing persona or duplicating a persona.:

1. Creating a new persona: Create a new persona and select exactly what attributes and variables you want in the persona and add industry.
2. Editing an existing persona – you can edit an existing persona and add an industry to that persona. Maybe you want to keep the same attributes and maybe you want to change them. When editing just remember you are replacing things.
3. Duplicating a persona – this is exactly why we have chosen to implement the ability to duplicate a persona. This allows you to take an existing persona, add an industry description to it and adjust all variables, attributes and description, so the persona has the right focus for that particular persona.

If you are not an admin, your admin will decide if and when change your personas or add industries. Please reach out to your admin with any questions about adding industries.

👥 delete personalized/translated variants
You can now delete personalized variants and translated variants. You cannot delete any default variants, like for instance the first language you create a content element from. Neither can you not delete the default content variant, since it is the baseline for all other personalized variants.

And do not worry—if you delete a variant you should not have, you simply unpublish them, and we can restore them for you. We are working on a garbage bin where you can do this yourself, covering projects, personas, language and personalized variants.

Pro Tip: Personas can be used to experiment with variants of existing personas. For instance, build a persona for three different industries or customer types with small variations in needs or goals. You can set diferent goals, needs, challenges for each industry. This can help you work even better with personalization. We can also help you experiment with the prompts/instructions for personalization so that it does—not just “rewrite” the default version—but rethinks the entire article for the persona, focusing on more relevant topics from a page. Again, let us know if you have questions.

🐛 Bug Fixes & UI Tweaks

• Fixed a bug where Magnity fail to render an image correctly. Now we can set all templates to either no image scaling (meaning it uses the original image), auto scaling to a certain width or scaling to a specific width for each element. These are backend settings and should make image problems rare.
• Fixed an issue where crawl jobs tended to repeat themselves. We have done some cleaning up and while a lot of accounts are done updating all libraries, some are still missing a smaller percentage of pages. This is due to duplicates in the content library. When having more than one page with the same URL (which was possible before the crawler was implemented), sometimes the crawler will update one page and update the last crawled data for the other, meaning it will try to crawl it again since the data has only been updated on one. We are cleaning out duplicates this week, and now the backend should handle it better.

There are no known major issues that breaks the application right now. Please let us know if you find any.

🎯 Why This Matters
By adding these features, we are moving towards making Magnity a true AI agent. If we want to enable building flows and programs, we need to have both industry and persona level personalization. This is a good step in that direction.
