Today, we are releasing the redesigned Content Agent.
This is one of the most significant updates we have made to the Content Agent so far.
The new version introduces a completely redesigned canvas, richer editing and collaboration capabilities, graph and table creation, connections to external data sources, and a new way of working between chat and content creation.
Together, these changes turn the Content Agent into a much more complete environment for research, analysis, planning, and content development.
It is also an important step toward our longer-term vision of building an agentic operating system for enterprise B2B marketing.
The most visible change is the new Content Agent canvas.
The canvas now includes a rich interaction bar across the top, giving you much more control over how content is created, structured, edited, and presented.
These capabilities can be used when building:
• Research reports
• Content plans
• Marketing strategies
• Flow plans
• SEO and GEO analysis
• Articles
• Briefs
• Insight reports
• Structured datasets and tables
• Many other types of content
The Content Agent is no longer limited to producing blocks of text. It can now help build complete, structured content artifacts.
You can now move backwards and forwards through changes made in the canvas.
This makes it much easier to experiment while building a document, return to an earlier version, or restore something you changed by mistake.
You can now take a screenshot of the visible part of the canvas directly from the toolbar.
This is useful when you want to explain or discuss a specific part of your work with someone else.
The screenshot is downloaded to your normal downloads folder, where it can be shared or used elsewhere.
You can now choose between different heading levels and ordinary text.
Simply select the text you want to change and apply the appropriate text type.
This makes it much easier to create structured reports and documents directly inside the Content Agent.
Font size can now be adjusted directly from the toolbar.
Select the text and choose the size you want.
The canvas now includes the familiar formatting options you would expect from a modern document editor.
You can apply:
• Bold
• Italic
• Underline
• Strikethrough
• Text colour
• Text background colour
This gives you substantially more control over how finished content looks.
Text can now be aligned:
• Left
• Centre
• Right
• Full width
You can insert different styles of bullet lists and numbered lists directly into the canvas.
This is particularly useful for plans, reports, recommendations, and structured analysis.
The canvas now supports interactive to-do lists.
You can add items with checkboxes and mark them as completed as work progresses.
This can be useful when using the Content Agent for planning, collaboration, project preparation, or tracking actions identified during an analysis.
Links can now be added directly to text inside the canvas.
Select the text, add the URL, and the link becomes part of the document.
You can now create tables directly inside the Content Agent.
Tables can be customized with different:
• Rows and columns
• Borders
• Shading
• Styles
• Formatting
This makes it much easier to build structured comparisons, research summaries, content inventories, performance reports, and plans.
The canvas now includes an emoji picker.
This can be particularly useful when working on social media content, internal plans, presentations, or content where visual markers make information easier to scan.
You can now add images and videos directly to the canvas.
You can either:
• Upload a file
• Add an image or video through a link
Once inserted, images and videos can be resized and aligned inside the document.
We are also investigating allowing text to wrap around visual elements in the future.
Documents can now be attached directly to the Content Agent project.
This is especially useful when building larger plans, analyses, or research projects where supporting material should remain together with the resulting content.
You can now change the spacing between lines of text.
This gives you additional control over readability and the visual appearance of a finished document.
Text and list items can now easily be moved further into or out from the margin.
This makes it easier to build structured outlines and nested content.
You can now add comments directly to content anywhere in the canvas.
Comments can also have replies, allowing conversations to take place around specific parts of a document.
This provides a much better foundation for collaborative review and planning directly inside Magnity.
One of the biggest capabilities introduced with the new Content Agent is support for external tools and data sources.
This means Magnity can combine its reasoning and content capabilities with live performance, search, and SEO data.
The Content Agent can be connected to Google Analytics.
Once connected, Magnity can retrieve performance data and use it as part of an analysis, report, recommendation, or plan.
For example, you could ask Magnity to analyse the performance of different content areas and identify where improvements may be needed.
Google Analytics connections currently need to be configured for you.
Please contact your Magnity administrator if you are interested.
We can also connect the Content Agent to Google Search Console.
This allows Magnity to retrieve search performance data and combine it with content analysis.
You could, for example, use Search Console data when:
• Identifying content opportunities
• Analysing search performance
• Comparing topics
• Planning new content
• Reviewing existing webpages
• Building SEO and GEO strategies
The Content Agent can also connect to external SEO tools such as:
• DataForSEO
• SEMrush
• Other relevant SEO platforms
This gives Magnity access to additional search, keyword, competitive, and visibility data that can be used during research and planning.
The architecture is not limited to the tools listed above.
We can connect the Content Agent to additional data sources where relevant.
If your organisation has a data or analysis platform you would like Magnity to work with, let us know and we can investigate the possibilities.
The Content Agent can now create graphs from data.
This includes formats such as:
• Bar charts
• Line charts
• Pie charts
• Comparative charts
• Other relevant data visualisations
Magnity can analyse the data, determine an appropriate visualisation, and create the graph as part of the content artifact.
Graphs can now be inserted directly into the canvas.
This means a single Content Agent project can contain written analysis, tables, source material, images, and data visualisations together.
The complete result can also be exported as a PDF.
The Content Agent chat now works in two different modes.
Chat mode works like a normal conversation with Magnity.
You can ask questions, explore ideas, investigate a topic, conduct research, or discuss what you are building.
Responses remain inside the conversation unless you decide to move them to the canvas.
Artifact mode is used when Magnity is actively creating something you want to become part of the canvas.
An artifact can contain much more than text.
For example, Magnity can create:
• Written content
• Research
• Analysis
• Tables
• Graphs
• Images
• Structured plans
• Combinations of several different content types
This allows the Content Agent to build much richer outputs than a traditional chat response.
If you have a useful response in normal Chat mode and decide that you want it added to the canvas, simply click the + button below the response.
Magnity will convert the response into an artifact that can then become part of your document.
This means you can move naturally between exploration and production without having to decide in advance exactly how a conversation should develop.
The combination of the new canvas, chat modes, external tools, and artifact creation significantly expands what the Content Agent can do.
It can now combine capabilities such as:
• Advanced reasoning
• Web research
• Analysis of uploaded files
• Images from source material
• Data analysis
• Graph creation
• Table creation
• External performance data
• SEO and GEO data
• Rich document creation
These capabilities can all work together inside the same Content Agent project.
For example, you could ask Magnity to research a market, analyse your existing content, retrieve performance data, identify opportunities, build a recommended content plan, visualize the findings in graphs, and create a structured report containing the complete analysis.
The result can then be edited, commented on, shared, and exported as a PDF.
The next major step is connecting the redesigned Content Agent more deeply with Magnity's other agents.
The Content Agent is increasingly becoming the place where you research, understand, analyse, and plan.
The next step is enabling those insights to turn directly into execution.
This means allowing the Content Agent to work with other Magnity agents to create assets such as:
• Webpages
• Emails
• Social media posts
• Email flows
• Personalized variants
• Localized content
The goal is to create a continuous workflow where Magnity can move from research and insight, to planning, to actual content production without requiring the user to rebuild the context at every stage.
The redesigned Content Agent represents a fundamental expansion of what Magnity can be used for.
Instead of only asking an AI to generate content, you can now use Magnity as a workspace where AI, data, research, planning, collaboration, and content creation come together.
The Content Agent can help understand the problem first, build the evidence and plan, and ultimately use that understanding to help create the marketing assets required.
That is an important foundation for the agentic marketing workflows we are building next.
