Magnity Update April 14th 2024: First part of new export functionality is live

We’re notifying all users about our successful update of Magnity from our development to our live environment. The issues that delayed our next export features are resolved, and we’re now live with the update. The new export functionality delivers a more intuitive and streamlined experience.

The features are:

1. Scalable Back End Migration for Exports:
   We have rolled out our new, more scalable back end for handling exports. While the majority of the updated code is live, email exports still use the old solution during our testing phase. The new front end is designed to be more intuitive and user-friendly.
2. Step-by-Step Export Process:
   The export interface is now divided into steps. This allows you to make clear choices for how to export your content. The project title is displayed at the top, while the project overview now shows only the language and persona variant for a cleaner look.
3. Progress Bar for Exports:
   When an export is in process, a progress bar is shown. Please note that since it isn’t yet fully aligned with the old export solution, the progress bar may appear inaccurate for the next few days.
4. Detailed Export Completion Overview:
   After an export is completed, you’ll see an overview of your project variants, including a status for each and a link to the project in your automation platform.
   IMPORTANT: Because we’re running the new front end but still using the old back end for exports, the link will not function immediately. We expect full functionality by the end of the week.
5. Enhanced Content Re-Saving Interface:
   The re-saving process now mirrors the new export design: you cannot re-save a project variant until you’ve selected it via the projects checkbox, at which point the option becomes active.
6. Minor Bug Fixes:
   We’ve also implemented fixes for template elements with fixed subheaders that were inadvertently getting translated and personalized. They now appear as intended.
