Designed for clarity and simplicity, improvements to the student experience make it easier for learners to navigate a quiz, view question content, see feedback in context, and progress through an activity with clear next steps and indicators.

Here’s a snapshot of what’s new:

  • Refreshed interface: the student quiz experience has gotten a visual refresh for a cleaner question presentation and a more focused workflow for students.
  • Easier question navigation: in Open Navigation, students can move between questions from a new pagination bar displaying question numbers and types at a glance, colour-coded to show which questions have been answered, skipped, or not yet opened.
  • Feedback in context: in Instant Feedback mode, students now get immediate in-line feedback on responses, displaying the correct answer, an explanation, and their choice, all in context with the question.
  • Better image layout: images are now displayed side-by-side with the question details, allowing students to reference the image and question details at the same time, while allowing students to zoom in for details on passages or more complex diagrams.
  • Clear message prompts: waiting, paused, ended, and completed activity statuses now use plain language, so students always know what's happening and what to do next.
  • Accessibility improvements: improved colour contrast, full keyboard navigation, screen reader support, read aloud, multi-lingual login support, right-to-left language support, and a refreshed font for better legibility across languages.

More than just a cosmetic upgrade, modernizing the student assessment experience means a more inclusive and accessible interface for all students, while also boosting the quality and responsiveness of the quizzing experience on any device.

A better quiz experience also means your students can focus on the questions in front of them and demonstrate their knowledge, giving you a better picture of student learning progress.
