What's New in ShuttlerockCloud - April Update

Shared by Sara • October 21, 2025

April packed a powerful punch, with major updates across our review and scaling features — plus some safe zone upgrades and a few clarity boosts for good measure. Read on to see what went down.

Improvements to Scaling Creative

Scaling creative in ShuttlerockCloud just became more seamless and flexible.

We’ve introduced a series of enhancements that bring all your scaling options — new formats and variations — together into one unified flow. No more choosing one or the other. You can now order both at once, directly within the same round.

At the heart of this update is the ‘+ New variation’ button, available across all Creative views — Concepts, All creative, and Variations. This is your central starting point for scaling any creative.

Once you click ‘+ New variation’, the Create variation page brings everything into one clear workspace:

  • Duplicate existing deliverables to form a new variation
  • Add new formats to scale your selection
  • Or combine both, creating a new variation that includes added formats

After creating a variation, you’ll be guided straight to the Review page to apply any final tweaks before sending to our team to work their magic.

These changes unify what used to be multiple steps into a single, intuitive flow — giving you more control over how you scale and expand your creative without breaking rhythm.

And there’s more to come: editing variations and duplicating concepts are already on the way. ✌️

Check out the feature article for all the details on Project Filters, including a full breakdown of what you can sort by.

Project Filters Are Live Across Review Pages

Project filters are now live for customers across both the Review and Creative pages in ShuttlerockCloud, giving you full control over what you see as projects scale.

You can now quickly filter deliverables by status, type, platform, language, and more — helping you zero in on what matters, keep reviews tidy, and make collaboration smoother.

A couple things to note:

  • Filters are dynamic — you’ll only see what’s relevant (for example, the ‘Language’ filter only appears when a project includes multiple languages).
  • Filtered views can be shared via URL, making it easy to collaborate with teammates or clients on specific sets of deliverables.

And if you need a hand navigating all the recent changes to the variation flow, this article will walk you through it 👍🏽

Canvas improvements

We’ve heard the Canvas tool has made the review process feel pretty dreamy - but we know it can be even cooler, more dynamic, and more functional. We’re on board, and we’ve got plenty planned for this legendary tool.

New changes

To start, the latest updates in Canvas bring improved interactions, more detail, and tools designed to keep things precise.

Custom overlays + safe zones: Things are getting personal. We've just made it possible to upload customized brand overlays and safe zones directly into Canvas. It works with both static and video deliverables and supports all the usual file types: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .mp4, .webp, .gif.

Just drag and drop the files right into the Canvas, then move onto intended deliverables to preview how content will appear on various platforms. A couple of things to know:

  • Files are only visible to the uploader - they’re not shared across sessions or users.
  • They disappear if you refresh or close the tab.

Hover-to-highlight: Hovering over a deliverable in the side panel will highlight it on the canvas, and vice versa.

More metadata: Now includes Language, FPS, File Type, and Bitrate.

Rulers + guides: A handy way to check dimensions and align elements.

  • Vertical and horizontal rulers are now displayed on the canvas.
  • You can drag in guides for layout alignment and remove them as needed.

Coming up

Currently in development:

  • Canvas layout options to group deliverables by things like Concept, Platform, Format, Language, and Duration

And in the future:

  • Global play controls
  • Bulk operations on Canvas deliverables
  • Full screen mode for statics
  • The ability to remove deliverables from the Canvas

More on those soon - but for now, feel free to poke around and let us know how it’s all feeling.

Updated Meta Safe Zones

We’ve refreshed our Meta safe zone overlays to align with current placements across Instagram and Facebook — covering Stories, Reels, Carousels, and Polls.

This update ensures your creative previews always match live ad placements, helping you review with confidence.

‘AI Generated Content’ Disclaimer Banner

To support responsible use of AI-generated outputs, we’re introducing a disclaimer banner across the briefing workflow to remind users to review AI-generated content carefully before using or implementing it. This aligns with industry best practices for ensuring accuracy and alignment.

The disclaimer banner will appear in the following places:

  • Brief Assistant screen
  • Brief Generation screen
  • Briefing/Concept screen (only if the brief was AI-generated)
  • Copy Suggestions screen (only if the brief was not AI-generated)

This banner is purely informational - it does not block workflows, but encourages a mindful review process when AI is in play.
