Hi there,
Kick off 2026 with more control and faster workflows. Happy New Year! We’re starting the year with a major set of updates designed to make your SKAND experience more intuitive. This month is all about helping you customize your workspace, access data faster, and streamline how you share insights with your team.
Views
Save your current viewer setup, including layers, settings, and camera position, as a View. You can set a default View for your project and share it with teammates so everyone starts from the same context.

Learn how to create, manage, and share Views here.
Executable Annotations with Views Integration
You can now choose which icons appear for your annotations and control what happens when you click them. Executable annotations can now trigger actions, including automatically loading a saved view. This gives you more flexibility in how you interact with annotations and helps streamline common workflows.

Dynamic Orthos and Terrains
Imagery and terrain datasets can now be viewed directly without opening the globe, making it faster to access and work with your data.

Improved Panorama UI and Linear Asset Navigation
You can switch between different panorama walkthrough layouts depending on how you prefer to review and navigate assets. This builds on the simplified UI to better support different workflows.

Clipping Filter for Images and Annotations
Filter images, panoramas, and annotations by area using an interface similar to the clipping box tool. This helps you focus only on what matters in a specific region.

Spreadsheet View
View annotation groups in a table format so you can quickly make bulk edits or upload updates more efficiently.

Automated Photogrammetry
Generate photogrammetry outputs automatically on mobile, reducing manual steps and speeding up processing in the field.
Cross Section View
Inspect layers through an orthographic cross section and take accurate measurements directly within the viewer.

Responsive Mobile View
We are improving the web app experience on mobile devices to make navigation and interaction smoother on smaller screens.

Refreshed Web App UI
We are exploring a refreshed look and feel, including updated styling and a dark theme option.
Views Performance
UI/UX Refinements
Beyond these new features, we’ve been busy under the hood with performance fixes and UI refinements to ensure your experience is smoother than ever. So stay tuned for what’s coming next.
