Hi there,
March brings a set of meaningful updates across SKAND, including the new Georeference Tool for spatially positioning data, an integrated file viewer and browser in Data Management, and a new SSO-only login setting for tighter account security. We've also been making steady progress on cross section improvements in early access, along with several features behind the scenes.
Georeference Tool

The new Georeference Tool lets users spatially position data that doesn't already have real-world coordinates. Place matching control points on the source data and a georeferenced destination, and SKAND will calculate the correct transformation and apply it. This is especially useful for 2D floor plans, imported images, point clouds, or any layer processed without GPS or coordinate metadata.

Data Management: Integrated File Viewer and Browser

Data Management now works as a built-in file previewer and browser. Users can view and navigate images, videos, DWG/DXF files, and PDFs directly inside SKAND without any external software. Users can also switch between list, grid, and column layouts to match how they prefer to browse and organize project files.

Login Method Settings

Admins can now require SSO login at the account level, giving them more control over how team members sign in.

Cross Section Improvements

Annotation Spreadsheet Enhancements

Spreadsheet View now supports inline editing of annotation properties, column filtering to narrow down datasets, and GeoJSON export and import for bulk updates. Users can edit single or multiple cells at once, apply filters across fields, and move annotation data in and out of the platform using CSV or GeoJSON files.
Presentation

Presentations introduce a new way to organize and showcase Views inside the 3D scene. Users can curate specific viewpoints and scenes into a sequence of slides, making it easier to guide stakeholders through key areas of a project.

Views Enhancements
We're working on two new ways to browse saved Views: a Thumbnail View that displays visual previews of each saved View for quick recognition, and a List View for a compact, scannable overview. These options will give users more flexibility in how they navigate and manage Views across projects.
Beyond these updates, we've been busy under the hood with performance fixes and infrastructure work to ensure your experience keeps getting smoother. Stay tuned for what's coming next.
As always, we'd love to hear your feedback. Dive into the new updates today and let us know what you think!
