Hi there,
As November unfolds, we’re excited to share a quick overview of the latest features and updates rolled out in October, along with a sneak peek at some exciting upcoming features!
📐Smart Panorama Spacing
Take full control over the distance between panoramas. With this update, you can automatically skip unnecessary panoramas within a specified range, helping you create cleaner, more streamlined walkthroughs—especially useful in tighter spaces.
🌐 Sleek New Panorama Icon
We’ve refreshed the panorama icon, moving from a spherical ball to a sleek disc. This change makes panoramas easier to spot and navigate, improving the overall walkthrough experience.
But that's not all! Our new iOS app (currently in alpha) integrates seamlessly with Insta360, allowing you to effortlessly turn your 360° videos into immersive walkthroughs in just a few steps. A big thank you to everyone participating in the alpha testing—we’re always welcoming more testers!

On devices with limited memory or processing power, adjusting the Tile Memory Budget and Point Budget can help improve performance.
🏢 Tile Memory Budget
This setting determines the maximum memory in megabytes each 3D Tiles layer can use in the viewer.
🌐 Point Budget
This setting controls the maximum number of points that each Point Cloud layer can render in the viewer.
Whether you’re working on a powerful desktop or a tablet, you can now customise these settings to get the perfect mix of performance and visual quality, fine-tuned to your needs.

We’re about to take your images to a whole new level of immersion! We’re revamping the image viewer to seamlessly integrate your geolocated images into the 3D scene.
Instead of having images side by side with the 3D view, your geolocated images will now overlay directly on top of the 3D scene, making the experience more connected. No need to project annotations from your images to the 3D view anymore—you can now draw directly in 3D, with all the image details.
We’re also enhancing how you filter images, giving you full control over the layer tree. Adjust the visibility of everything in one place for a smoother workflow. Stay tuned for this major update!
We’ve heard your feedback – managing files across Data Management and Projects can get complicated. That’s why we’re revamping the file system to make it more unified and streamlined. Soon, you’ll be able to view all your files in Data Management, including those attached to annotations, generated by SKAND for your data requests, and even those added to projects.
This update will provide a single, unified view, making it easier to manage, clean up, and share your files with ease.
Thanks for being a part of the SKAND community. We’re always working to make your workflow better, and we can’t wait to share more exciting updates with you soon. Until next time!
Best regards,
The SKAND Team
