Online Waiting Room Notifications Now Live

Until now, the waiting room told patients "We have notified the host that you are waiting", but nothing actually happened. Care team members only found out a patient had arrived by opening the call themselves.

Now, when a patient clicks "Join call" from the appointment meeting link, and nobody from the clinic has joined yet, everyone on the appointment's calendar gets a message on their screen straight away, with a button that takes them right into the call.

What you'll see

• A message: "[Patient name] is waiting for you to join the call", with the appointment type and a button to jump straight in.
• If you're currently working from a different clinic, you won't see the patient's name. You'll see the clinic's name and a "Switch" button instead.
• No message once someone from the clinic has already joined the call.

This applies when the patient joins through a browser, via a shared meeting link. Joining from the wawa mobile app/web portal is currently not supported.
