This week we made a number of improvements to the OTT platform:

• Made OTT admin sites not searchable in google
• Fixed a bug that caused the customer page banner to not appear
• Fixed a bug that prevented bundles from being removed

And we also added an SRT option for the Larix Broadcaster app.

This week our OTT Apps team was hard at work releasing new improvements:

New Features

• The platform will now automatically create OTT Categories for all BoxCast Streaming Channels
• Livestreams scheduled for far in the future will no longer clutter up rows other than Live and Upcoming

Bugs

• Fixed a bug where Android video player could not be exited by hitting the X button
• Fixed a bug where hitting the back button on mobile would close the app
• Fixed a bug where pages with many rows would have the banner image appearing at the bottom of the page
• Fixed a bug where the Watch button was sometimes leading viewers to the wrong video
• Improved tvOS and Roku viewer sign-in for registration-gated content to bring users back to the content they were trying to watch (getting this fix will require rebuilding your smart TV app)

We've got an exciting new update to our OTT Apps product- you can now build your own mobile, AppleTV, and Roku apps from start to finish right inside the OTT Dashboard.

We have support articles walking you through how to build the apps, submit them for approval, and push them live in each app store. If you're interested in adding this feature to your plan, reach out in the chat!

Some other updates we pushed this week include:

• Custom domain management added to the OTT Dashboard
• Fixed a bug where Simulated Live broadcasts were displaying with a date of 9999

• Mixer-specific implementations of Pre/Post Fader for RTA
• Mixer-specific password handling
• Change connection ID to connection name in the connection modal

The last two weeks our team has been busy making small upgrades and fixing a few bugs for OTT and RemoteMix. Here's some of what's been released:

RemoteMix

• Fixed a bug where a user downgrading to the Free plan might erroneously see a "issue with payment" banner.
• Fixed an issue on RemoteMix signup page that limited ability to scroll and see all page text on non-fullscreen windows or mobile devices.

OTT

• Released a feature to allow users to set up subscriptions with custom durations.
• Lazy loading released for custom pages in web app (homepage already lazy loads).
• Fixed an issue preventing reporting on subscription data.
• Fixed some remaining thumbnail issues.

We made some great improvements to the RemoteMix and OTT platforms this week. Here’s a quick overview of what's new:

RemoteMix: We added more detailed information to the Dashboard for events where RemoteMix loses connect to the mixer or the platform.

OTT: You can now upload your own logos directly within the OTT Dashboard.

We also squashed a few bugs:

RemoteMix

• Fixed an issue where agents could get stuck and be unable to create new mixer connections.
• Improved the UI to make it easier to access the "save" button when creating a new virtual group.
• Fixed a small bug where the fader would jump to a new position when clicked.

OTT

• Fixed a navigation issue with the iOS app.

Multilingual Captioning is here! This feature automatically translates captions for both your live broadcasts and recordings into up to 5 different languages. It's available as an add on to any plan that has our live captioning feature.

We are also pleased to announce that you can now build + publish your own AppleTV app directly inside the OTT Dashboard, from start to finish. Work on the app and publish on your own timeline - no more waiting for a BoxCast team member to do it for you. We've got step-by-step instructions on what you need to submit where, making the process simple and painless.

Finally, we have a few bug fixes and improvements:

• Fixed a bug where thumbnails were not always displaying correctly for broadcasts imported from BoxCast Streaming to OTT
• Fixed a bug where the Default Broadcast Thumbnail in Streaming settings was not getting applied as the thumbnail in OTT apps
• Fixed a RemoteMix bug with RTA where stale values in the source dropdown can cause the RTA source to change inadvertently
• Updated RemoteMix to anchor faders with other channel strip controls when changing browser zoom (so there is more room for activities, e.g. video preview, when you zoom out in the browser)

We've just rolled out access to Channel Processing, bringing your mixer's EQ, compression, and gating controls directly to your RemoteMix Dashboard.

To unlock this feature today, simply update to the latest RM Software Agent or Spark firmware. Access is available to all RemoteMix trial and Paid plan users.

We have added OTT to the BoxCast Bento Box!

Starting today, you can easily access your OTT Dashboard in the menu at the top left of the Dashboard screen (where you go to access Sites and RemoteMix as well).

All Standard and Owner users on accounts with an OTT subscription will be able to enter the OTT Dashboard through their BoxCast login.

The existing log in methods will still work- just think of this as an extra, simpler way to access your OTT Dashboard.

We also fixed a minor glitch that was happening on the AppleTV App's home screen.
