We’ve added a new way to handle record renewals.

In addition to the existing method of creating a different linked record, you can now renew a record in place—without generating a separate child record.

This new option will:

🔄 Automatically start the workflow from the first step

It’s a cleaner, more streamlined way to manage renewals for licenses and registrations.

You can now link related fees—so child fees can be automatically calculated based on a parent fee.

Example: If your Plan Review Fee is set to 10% of the Building Permit Fee, and the Building Permit Fee is calculated as $1,000, GovWell will automatically apply a $100 Plan Review Fee—no manual input required.

It saves time, keeps fees consistent, and eliminates repetitive work.
