Phone queue building 🤯? No sweat. You can now quickly and easily reassign surfers to other activities using Find and Replace.
Simply select the lower priority activities you want to replace, e.g. admin or project time, and then select the activity you want to move them to, and for how long.
Surfboard will then update all surfers schedules, giving you time to take a breather and think of your next move.
We know that schedules often need to change at last minute, which means quick and easy editing is crucial. Our latest schedule editing feature embraces the unpredictability of your day by allowing you to adjust activity lengths quicker than ever!
Say goodbye to tedious manual adjustments. You can now drag to resize activity blocks to your desired length. Just hover your cursor over the edge and pull!
Whether you need a quick 15-minute catch-up or an extended brainstorming session, this feature lets you adapt your schedule on the fly. No need to delete and recreate events; simply stretch or shrink the activity blocks according to your needs.
Surfboard's been possessed by an evil spirit for Halloween! 👻
The Halloween fun shouldn't need to stop just because you're at work. Flip the ghost toggle in the top right to enable SpoOoOky mode 👻 and see your emojis change before your eyes!
We hope you enjoy this year's treat 🍬
Happy spooking, Team Surfboard
Based on surfer feedback, we've updated our Slack app to make it easier than ever to stay on top of your schedules!
Surfers will now be sent a notification if a new version of their schedule is published mid-shift, meaning it’s easier than ever to stay on top of everything. This includes activities, breaks and shift times.
Only the surfers who’s schedules have changed will be sent an update to minimise unnecessary Slack noise.
Surfer’s Slack Apps will update automatically so there’s no need to re-install.
Surfers can now stay up to date on the status of their schedule change requests through email ✉️
Surfboard will send you an email when your request is approved or rejected, including any notes your manager included.
We've made it even easier to manage your team's shift swap and change requests. Meet your new requests inbox!
In your inbox, you can see a record of every request made in your account. The added filters make it easy to focus on individual teams or to report on a certain status, like rejections.
As an added bonus, managers can now include a note when reviewing requests - making it easier to communicate with your team 🏄
Let's be honest, time can be tricky. And, it can be even trickier when it's not written in the way you usually expect.
Surfboard now adapts to show times in the schedule based on your browser preferences, allowing you to see the 12hr or 24hr clock.

Surfers can now easily send requests to change or swap their shifts to fit around their other commitments or appointments ✨
Make decisions faster with all the info you need in one place. When a surfer sends a request you can see a note to explain why they need to make a change, a count of how many requests they’ve made in the last 3 months and easily check coverage with in-schedule reviews. 😎
When you accept a request, the schedule will automatically be updated and published out to the surfer. Any activities are copied across and cropped to fit, meaning less work for you. 🤙
