We’ve rolled out a fresh batch of updates to make your experience in Factory even better. Here’s what’s new and improved this week:

🚀 New Features: Factory Mobile App

  • Clock On/Off: Admins and Power Users can now Clock On and Clock Off Team members directly from the hamburger menu – making it quicker and easier to manage time entries
  • Active Tracking: Admins and Power Users can now jump straight into the Active tracking page from the hamburger menu. It’s a handy way to keep tabs on who’s already Clocked On for the day
  • Notification Page: You can now access the Notificationvia the hamburger menu to view your new and existing notifications, and easily navigate to the corresponding Order where you were mentioned
  • Planner: You can now access the Planner functionality in Factory Mobile – including viewing jobs and custom calendar events, switching between Calendar (Day, Week, Month), and sorting Planner entries using active filters (as available on Web) to tailor your schedule just the way you need it.

📲 Make sure you’ve got the latest version of Factory Mobile app - available on both Android and iOS - to start using these features.

🔧 Additional Tweaks:

  • Timesheet Entries: Fixed an issue where time tracking entries appeared a day behind during daylight saving transitions
  • Delivery Scheduling: You can now scroll through the list of available vehicles in Factory Mobile app – perfect for teams with a long delivery vehicle list
  • Planner Scrolling: We’ve enhanced the scrolling experience for smoother navigation through Planner entries in Factory Mobile app.

Factory Weekly Updates - 04/04/2025

We’ve rolled out some fresh updates to make your experience in Factory smoother and more efficient.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Resend Invite Links: You can now easily resend invite links! Head over to Settings > Team, locate the team member's email address, select the kebab/other options menu, and click Resend Invite. This is handy if the invite link has expired and you need a fresh one
  • Immediate Clocking Off: You can now Clock Off on any Line Items in the Tracking tab and on the Active Tracking page without waiting for the usual 1-minute. This is perfect if you've accidentally clocked into a job or if there are changes in job priorities.

Additional tweaks:

  • Xero Invoice Due Date: Invoice due dates are now aligning with the set due date in the Settings under a Customer
  • PO and Notes Field: The intermittent typing reset issue in PO and Notes Field has been resolved
  • Global Search: Deleted Products are now being removed in real time from Global Search.

Our latest Factory updates are designed to make your experience smoother and more efficient:

  • Edit Sales Order from Workflow: Users* can now edit Sales Orders directly from Productivity > Workflow by selecting a Workflow/Job card from any status column, and clicking Edit Order. This allows you to easily update the Sales Order without needing to toggle back to the Sales Orders page
  • Edit Sales Order from Planner: Sales Orders can now be edited* directly from Productivity > Planner. Simply select a Sales Order scheduled to a Team member or from the Orders pane, click Edit Order, and update the Sales Order without going back to the Sales Orders page
  • Edit Sales Order Delivery Scheduling: Editing Sales Orders is now possible* from Productivity > Delivery Scheduling. Select a scheduled Sales Order or one from the Delivery backlog pane, click Edit Order, and make your updates without toggling back to the Sales Orders page
  • * exceptions: any User, except for Productivity, Workflow Only and Deliveries Only, can utilise this feature.

Factory Mobile new features:

  • Mobile Notification: After tapping the Factory Mobile notification, you'll be quickly routed to the Collaborate tab of the corresponding Sales Order where a team member has mentioned you
  • One-tap Calling: Within a Sales Order > Details tab, you can now click on mobile numbers to call directly using your default phone app.
  • One-click Emailing: Within a Sales Order > Details tab, you can now click on email address to send emails directly through your default email app
  • One-click Location: Within a Sales Order > Details tab, you can tap on the addresses to open the location in your default map app
  • Update Assigned to, Labels, and Order status: You can now update the Team member Assigned to a Sales Order, add more Labels, change the Order Status directly within Factory Mobile, giving you greater control while on the go
  • PO field: User can now view the details entered in PO field via the Sales Order > Details tab

Be sure to download or update Factory Mobile, available on both Android and iOS, to take advantage of this new feature.

Additionally Tweaks

  • Adding Lineal Metre Products into a Kit: When Lineal Metre is added to a Product Kit or Sub Kit the value now correctly retains.

Check out these exciting updates for this week, all designed to make your experience smoother and more efficient.

  • Required Date Filter: We've added a Required Date filter in Planner and Workflow, so you can easily track Jobs/Orders based on their completion date
  • Kit Visibility in Sales Orders: It's easier to identify if a Kit in the Sales Order page is expanded or collapsed. A plus sign (+) will indicate if the kit is collapsed, while a minus sign (-) will show when it’s expanded.
  • Creating Product Kits: You can now save a Product Kit even if the Sub-Kits only contain products, giving you more flexibility when setting up your kits
  • PO Details Searchable in Timesheets: Any information entered in the PO field of a Sales Order is now searchable when adding a Timesheet entry, whether via the Add manual time entry button or the Clock On button. This makes it easy to attach the correct Sales Order to your Timesheet entry.

Additionally, here are a few more tweaks to improve your experience:

  • Clock Off in Active Tracking: You can now easily Clock Off in Active Tracking page (located next to the Settings button with the clock icon) by selecting the stop icon
  • Custom Pricing in Drawings: $/M values are now struck through when custom pricing is added to the Total amount on Drawings, helping to avoid confusion when generating Work Order PDFs.

We’ve got some exciting updates to share with you this week, all designed to make your experience smoother and more efficient.

  • Delivery Scheduling is now available in Factory Mobile, making it easier to view and manage deliveries for completed Orders. Be sure to download or update Factory Mobile, available on both Android and iOS, to take advantage of this new feature.

In addition, here are a few more tweaks to improve your experience:

  • Saving mobile numbers and phone numbers via Sales > Customers > select a Customer > Contactshas now been fixed
  • Generating a Work Order PDF with drawings now eliminates the extra blank page
  • Users can now drag multiple orders consecutively with the Show/Hide orders (Scheduled or Unscheduled) filter applied in Planner
  • Fixed the intermittent issue with changing the colour of the Order type badges in Workflow > Workflow Settings (select the gear icon).

Time for this week's Factory Fun Fact:

  • Ever thought about adding Custom Planner Events? In Factory > Productivity > Planner, you can easily add things like your leave, maintenance, inventory checks, or any event that doesn’t need an order linked. Just double-click a blank space on your Planner, and a pop-up window will appear asking you enter the details about the event.

In addition, here are a few more tweaks to improve your experience:

  • Product Kits can now be opened, even if a Product’s material within the Product Kit has been removed
  • Contacts are now properly saved when you unfocus from the Contact name field
  • You can now add or delete attributes, even while you’re still focused on an existing attribute field.

We’ve got some exciting updates to share with you this week, all designed to make your experience smoother and more efficient.

  • We've added a new toggle - Default new orders to tax free - in Sales > Customers > Settings tab. This lets you easily enable or disable tax for new Sales Orders
  • You can now remove the Required Date on Sales Orders. Simply go to Sales > Sales Orders, select a Sales Order, and click the "x" next to Required Date field to remove it
  • For customers integrated with MYOB, we've added Create new job option to MYOB Jobs dropdown located in a Sales Order, next to each Line Item. There's also a Refresh Jobs button for easily updating the job details
  • Users can now create On The Fly Kits within a Sales Order by selecting Add product > Product Kit
  • There's a new option in Settings > Sales called Display kits as minimised by default. If enabled, when a Kit is added to a Sales Order, the Products within the Kit will automatically collapse, giving you a cleaner and more organised view
  • Aside from users with Administrator access, those with Power User access can now modify Planner Settings in Productivity > Planner > Planner Settings (gear icon) and Workflow Settings in Productivity > Workflow > Workflow Settings (gear icon)
  • The Standard User (No Pricing) role can now access Workflow with the same permissions as the Standard User role.
  • Standard User, Standard User (No Invoicing), and Standard User (No Pricing) can now schedule work, add custom Planner entries and delete timeslots in Productivity > Planner.

In addition, here are a few more tweaks to improve your experience:

  • Invitations sent via email on mobile have been adjusted for better responsiveness on both Android and iOS.
  • Deleted Team members are now automatically removed from the Timesheet Manager page
  • The attribute column field with an empty value in Product Catalogue > Products is now retained when generating PDFs.
  • Global search has been improved and now supports searching for special characters, making it easier to find exactly what you're looking for.

Hi there,

We have some exciting updates to share with you this week.

  • We’ve just launched a brand-new Document Template for Work Orders! Head over to Settings > Document templates > Create temple > locate Work Order Template, then select Create new template to customise your Work Order PDF and make it uniquely yours.

In addition, here are a few more tweaks to improve your experience:

  • Any information copied and pasted from notes apps into the Collaborate tab in Factory Mobile will now display as regular text, ensuring formatting is retained. Please make sure you've downloaded or updated the Factory Mobile app, available on both Android and iOS
  • The option to Duplicate/Edit Timesheets has been removed for all user roles in Factory Mobile, except for Admin users, who has the ability to Duplicate/Edit Timesheets.

Hi there,

We have some exciting updates to share with you this week.

  • Planner views can now be saved with Day, Week, and Month filters. Head over to Productivity > Planner > Views > Save new view
  • One of the most awaited features on our roadmapTimesheets (Accounting Integrations) is now available for you to use. Check out these helpful articles on how to set it up for MYOB, QBO, and Xero
  • We've added Invoiced to date and Amount remaining on Partial Invoice PDFs. To generate a Partial Invoice, go to Sales Order > Options > Partial Invoice.

In addition, here are a few more tweaks to improve your experience:

  • The transparent component background can now be set when customising a PDF in Settings > Document template
  • Loading Cost field and calculation issue has been fixed for custom-priced Product Kits
  • We've enhanced the Enable column sorting in Workflow > Workflow Settings (gear icon), and it can now be toggled on or off
  • Duplicating Sales Orders with set Line Item statuses in the Tracking tab will reset all statuses
  • Swap Order # and Page # location on Work Order PDF toggle functionality in Settings > PDF Settings is now applied when generating PDFs in Workflow
  • Updating the Order status is now available in Productivity > Planner.
  • Only Contacts associated with the Supplier on Purchase Order are now shown in the Contact field within a Purchase.
