The First Update: Energy Backup program is now live in 5 New States
The Second Update: SolarEdge Nexus was added to our Energy Backup AVL
SolarEdge will be hosting an upcoming training from 7/8 through 7/10 to get installers certified for the Nexus product. Partners in California can register for this event here.
ICYMI: Effective June 1, 2026, the date of receipt of a 'Bulk Invoice' must be within 90 days of date of M1 submission.
The Details: Third Party Invoices are an existing requirement on all Solar M1 Installation submissions, but we've tightened the parameters for Bulk Invoices.
More Info: Solar Energy Plan: Installation (M1) Checklist | Palmetto Installer Guides
Effective immediately (06/15/26), New Jersey projects are only required to provide proof of ADI submission at M1. Conditional approval is no longer required and the process has temporarily reverted to the pre-March 1, 2026 requirement.
Please note that projects must still complete conditional registration and receive final ADI acceptance by M2. Failure to satisfy these requirements may result in Palmetto clawing back the full incentive amount. Link: HERE
Effective ummeadiately (6/15/26), all Illinois projects must meet the required Volt-Var settings and Illinois DG Rebate requirements as outlined in the KB article. Compliance with these requirements must be verified and submitted at M1.
To avoid project rejections and delays, all teams submitting Illinois projects must ensure compliance with the incentive requirements outlined in the M1 Incentives KB article before submission.
The Update: ICYMI, we’re officially live with Water Heaters under the Comfort Plan program.
Battery Settings and Operational Modes Reminder:
The Update: Palmetto is backing the launch of Recheck Certified, a new industry credential built on the existing Recheck ID system.
The Deets: To get Certified, reps must sign a universal code of conduct, pass an industry specific background check, and complete a sales ethics course. Most importantly, certification requires a clean track record of conduct and compliance. Reps with history of violations or misconduct cannot be Certified.
The Impact: Certified will help financiers and installers vet high quality reps. And, it gives customers peace of mind that they're working with a Certified professional with a clean track record.
The Timing: Certified is available now for all representatives nationwide. All platform members are encouraged to sign up. Later in 2026, Certified will become a mandatory requirement for all new NTPs.

Reminder: All roof attachments used in a project with a Palmetto Energy plan MUST be sourced from Approved Vendors.
This is mandatory even if the attachments are not listed in the ITC Eligibility Calculator. Projects using unlisted roof attachments will be ineligible for funding.
Context: This is a standing requirement, but we've noted an increase in projects where Partners are attempting to use roof attachments not present on the Solar Energy Plan: AVL & All Things Hardware list.
The Update: Three small utilities-- Mohave Electric Coop (AZ), TRICO (AZ), and El Paso Electric (TX) have been removed from our active utility lists for new Solar and Energy Backup sales effective 5/4/26.
Full active utilities available by program at help.palmetto.finance knowledge base.
