Magnity new features released: Add industry, duplicate persona, add industry to persona, use industry personas in Magnity, delete personalized variants, delete translated variants and more.
🤖 Add industry description (Admins)
Our “burger menu” on the left has been updated so everything pertaining to our back-end engine (rules, persona, crawler, etc.) is now called Content Engine. Under Content Engine, you can find a new option called Industries. Click this and create an industry description.

Use the persona descriptions, when either creating a new persona, editing an existing persona or duplicating a persona.:

If you are not an admin, your admin will decide if and when change your personas or add industries. Please reach out to your admin with any questions about adding industries.
👥 delete personalized/translated variants
You can now delete personalized variants and translated variants. You cannot delete any default variants, like for instance the first language you create a content element from. Neither can you not delete the default content variant, since it is the baseline for all other personalized variants.
And do not worry—if you delete a variant you should not have, you simply unpublish them, and we can restore them for you. We are working on a garbage bin where you can do this yourself, covering projects, personas, language and personalized variants.
Pro Tip: Personas can be used to experiment with variants of existing personas. For instance, build a persona for three different industries or customer types with small variations in needs or goals. You can set diferent goals, needs, challenges for each industry. This can help you work even better with personalization. We can also help you experiment with the prompts/instructions for personalization so that it does—not just “rewrite” the default version—but rethinks the entire article for the persona, focusing on more relevant topics from a page. Again, let us know if you have questions.
🐛 Bug Fixes & UI Tweaks
🔍 Known issues
There are no known major issues that breaks the application right now. Please let us know if you find any.
🎯 Why This Matters
By adding these features, we are moving towards making Magnity a true AI agent. If we want to enable building flows and programs, we need to have both industry and persona level personalization. This is a good step in that direction.
We are already on our next features, more will come in a week or two.

Magnity new features released: Selecting LLM, create new persona, delete persona, add source from manual text and more
🤖 Select your language model: Admins only
Our “burger menu” on the left has been updated so everything pertaining to our back-end engine (rules, persona, crawler, etc.) is now called Content Engine. Under Content Engine, you can find a new option called Models. Click this and select which OpenAI model you want to use for generating content. Right now you can pick between the following:

If you are not an admin, your admin will decide if and when to use another model. Please bear in mind that changing models influences output, and making sure it is working well is paramount before committing it to an entire account.
IMPORTANT NOTE: ChatGPT 5 is a dual model, which means it can function as a normal chat model that responds in about 10 seconds, but also as a reasoning model that can spend several minutes to think about what you are asking it to do. The fourth on the list is what we recommend for trying ChatGPT 5, since it has minimal reasoning and is still a bigger model than 4o and 4.1. ChatGPT 5 has a parameter we can configure in the back end called effort. Effort means how hard it generally thinks before replying. There are four settings: Minimal, Low, Medium, and High. We have activated the first two, simply because you would go nuts if you had to wait 3–5 minutes for every reply from the two highest settings. There are cases where the higher settings can be helpful, and we would love to go through them with you. For now, try out the two lower models and see how they do. We do not guarantee you’ll like them better than 4o or 4.1, but 5 is significantly better at following instructions and hallucinates significantly less. If you are an admin and want to play with the larger models, contact us.
Pro Tip: Try building an email first with 4o, then save that. Then change any rule slightly by adding a “.” and set it to 4.1. Then build the same email, rinse and repeat with 5. Compare and see what you like best—you can always go back to a model you prefer. Also important: when you change a model, you change it for everyone in your account. So test it when usage is low (off hours) before deciding.
👥 Create & delete personas
You can now create new personas and delete personas. Do not worry—if you delete them you simply unpublish them, and we can restore them for you. We are working on a garbage bin where you can do this yourself, covering projects, personas, and very soon also language and personalized variants.
Find the persona options in Content Engine. Go there to edit any persona or create new ones. You can add images, titles, descriptions, and attributes with as many values as you like. Then save, and you can immediately use your persona in Magnity.
Pro Tip: Personas can be used to experiment with variants of existing personas. For instance, build a persona for three different industries or customer types with small variations in needs or goals. This can help you work even better with personalization. We can also help you experiment with the prompts/instructions for personalization so that it does—not just “rewrite” the default version—but rethinks the entire article for the persona, focusing on more relevant topics from a page. Again, let us know if you have questions.
✍️ Add source/tile from manual text
Now you can create a tile/source from just copying and pasting text. Click the small + sign in your content library where you normally find Add Document, Add Webpage, etc. Here you’ll find a fourth option: Manual Text. Make sure you add the text, give it a title, add a URL it should display in any CTA, and one or more relevant tags. Save it, and you’re good to go.
Pro Tip: This is a very fast way to add—for instance—a campaign brief or a news article that has not yet been published. Use it to get content into Magnity fast, but be aware that this does not support “auto” language detection, meaning you cannot add it across all markets by default. Again, if you have any questions, let your admin or us know.

🐛 Bug Fixes & UI Tweaks
🔍 Known issues
We still have a few issues with the automatic crawler that sometimes decides to crawl new content it should not. We’re releasing a hotfix Monday or Tuesday night, but should you find pages in your inventory that do not belong, do not worry—we can remove them for you. We are updating all content libraries but do not want to do this at scale before this small issue is fixed. Thanks for your patience. Automatic crawling now supports millions of pages at once, which is complex to manage; we’re working hard to get the very last bit ready.
Note: Manually adding pages works just fine, so you can still use that as needed.
🎯 Why This Matters
By adding these features, we are moving towards making Magnity a true AI agent. Introducing reasoning models is part of our progress toward enabling Magnity to understand your entire content library at once—and allow you to chat with an AI that helps you utilize it better. More on that will come. Also, this update prepares for a simple but helpful feature arriving in a few days: deleting personalized and language variants.
Again, more will come soon. We hope you enjoy the new features.

Scheduled Maintenance Update
We’re thrilled to announce Magnity’s latest release—packed with three powerful crawl modes, smarter translation options, bulk-image controls, PDF previews, and a host of UI and stability fixes.
🚀 Three New Crawl Features (with Automatic Local-Variant Detection)
Magnity now automatically looks for local-language variants of every URL in your sitemaps, using backend-configured URL patterns (e.g. /{countrycode}/, .dk, etc.) and imports any that conform. On top of this continuous variant detection, we’ve introduced three crawl modes:
Automated Sitemap Change Detection
Every six hours (four times a day), Magnity re-crawls each market’s sitemap, compares each page’s <lastmod> timestamp to its stored “last update,” and automatically refreshes any changed pages, resetting their content tiles and update timestamps for you.
Folder-Level New Content Monitoring
You define one or more site folders to monitor (for example, /learn/). Magnity scans your sitemap for URLs under those paths that aren’t yet in your content library, imports them automatically, including all local-language variants—and keeps them up to date.

Manual URL Crawl with Local-Variant Discovery
When you manually add a URL to trigger a crawl (as before), you’ll now see an “Include all local variants” checkbox. Selecting it causes Magnity to detect, crawl, and import that URL and every matching regional variant in one operation.

🔍 Crawl Job Visibility
Head to the burger menu and select Crawler to view all job statuses, both automatic and manual. Each entry shows which URLs were found, which were missing, and any errors encountered, so you can confirm every crawl’s success. There is a lot of detail in there, including what URL variations it has tried to crawl based on our back end rules.

To make sure we set this up best for you, reach out to me or Jan and we will help you pick folders to monitor and identify if you have a URL structure that enables automatic geomapping. Also we will help you set up the rules for how to crawl your content.
Before you can make use of the new features, we will have to configure your account and markets accordingly. This will happen over the next few days. PLEASE STAND BY and we will let you know once it is operational for you.
We can add sitemaps, image inclusion patterns and exclusion patterns, content folder logic between markets and much more. We have not made that available in the front end on purpose, so you dont break the functionality by accident, but reach out and we can collaborate on setting it up.

🖼️ Additional Content & Translation Enhancements
Bulk Image Updates: Replace an image in any module and tick “Apply to all variants” to swap that image across every personalization and translation variant. ideal for post-translation edits.

New Translation Strategy Dropdown: Choose from multiple strategies in one place. We’ve added “Localize if available,” which uses URL-based translation when a local page exists and URL-less translation otherwise. This replaces the old translation modal window and hopefully feels a lot more user frirendly. More strategies (like “Copy/Paste”) are on the way.

After having translated you can hold your mouse over each of the default variant modules to identify if they have been translated with out without URL. We want to make this little feature more valuable as it was a last minute addition and thus the hover over on personalized modules will be added later.
PDF Upload Preview: View a visual preview of any PDF in the upload modal before adding it to your library, so you can confirm you’ve selected the right document. (Full PDF text editing remains unsupported.) This helps you verify that a PDF is actually the one you are addint. Know issue: Our current scraper seems to to scrape to few images off of PDFs, we are working on fixing that.

🐛 Bug Fixes & UI Tweaks
Fixed the need to re-click the text element after inserting HTML bullets in the editor.
Resolved chat window overflow beneath the bottom border.
Persona bar no longer blocks the top-left burger menu when the content library is collapsed.
Various smaller interface glitches have been smoothed out for a more stable experience.
🎯 Why This Matters
By automating update detection, new-page discovery, and manual crawls—plus giving you bulk-image controls and smarter translation options—this release slashes the hours spent on manual monitoring and post-translation edits. You’ll always have the most current content, across all languages, with minimal effort.

Scheduled Maintenance Update
We’re notifying all users that we’ve successfully updated Magnity from our development environment to our live environment. This rollout includes several new features and fixes.
Upload documents manually and use them as tiles:
You can now manually upload documents to Magnity and use them as tiles. Currently, we support PDF files only, but more formats will be supported soon. If you need to use another format, please convert it to PDF first.
You’ll find this new functionality via the + icon next to the filters.
If you have a link to a publicly available PDF, you can also insert the link and upload the PDF that way. However, some websites may restrict crawlers like Magnity from accessing these links. If uploading fails, simply download the PDF and upload it as a file instead.
Important: There is a minor bug requiring Umbraco support to synchronize certain files on Monday. This means document uploads, save and delete project will not work until the sync is complete. Unfortunately, we cannot perform this sync ourselves due to a bug in Umbraco.
Once the sync is done, we’ll display a banner warning you that the interface may go offline briefly during the day. Please keep an eye out.
MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) Login:
We’re proud to announce that we’ve now achieved SOC 2 certification for IT security. As part of this, you will now be prompted to verify your login via multi-factor authentication (MFA).
You have two options:
1. Authenticator app: Download an app like Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator, scan the QR code shown, and enter the verification code from the app.
2. Magic link: Alternatively, you can choose to receive a one-time login link via email.
Currently, MFA is required every time you log in. We’re working on a feature that remembers your verification and reduces the frequency of prompts. We appreciate your patience and encourage you to use one of the available MFA options in the meantime.
This update also comes with a small redesign of the login page—more polished and professional.
Delete a project:
You can now delete a project directly from the project overview. Simply click the three vertical dots on the project tile and select "Delete project".
Note: You can only delete projects you own, unless you’re an admin.
Duplicate a project:
You can now duplicate any open project using the top bar. This creates an exact copy in a new tab, which you can save under a different project name.
This feature is especially useful for building flows or reminder emails based on existing content. The duplicated project includes all chat history and settings from the last saved version of the original.
If you’ve made changes you want included in the duplicate, make sure to save first.
Sticky personas:
Personas are now "sticky"—they remain visible at the top of the screen as you scroll. This makes it easier to compare outputs across different persona variants.
Manual email entry:
We’ve fixed a bug that prevented the subject line and preheader from being saved correctly when adding emails manually. This should now work as intended.
Project filters:
When accessing your projects page, the default view now shows “Projects you own”, making the interface less cluttered.
To switch views (e.g., “All projects” or “Projects shared with you”), use the filter in the upper right corner.
Additional interface improvements:
We’ve resolved several minor UI issues, including a refreshed design for the Crawl URL section, improving overall usability.

We hope you enjoy the new features and fixes

We have assesed the impact of updating Magnity and there are too many small manuevres we need to complete after the update, so it would potentially impact usability too much. We have therefore decided to postpone it to Freiday night, so we can do the updates in the weekend, where you are not working with it.
In this update we are enabling the ability to use documents, videos and web pages to build emails, SoMe posts and landing pages. Also there will be a improved filtering solution, better rule filtering and some updates to the back end enabling us to control when the rich text editor is displayed.
This maintenance is essential to release the latest updates and improvements to Magnity.
We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team at ulsa@amagnity.ai or +4529352578

Hi there,
Due to a technical problem with our Umbraco Database, we have decided to postpone the Maintenance update 24 hours.
We are therefore planning on updating Magnity Monday night between 23:00 - 02:00 GMT+1.
This does not mean that the interface will be down for 3 hours, but that we preserve the right to take the interface down within this timeframe.
Thanks for your patience.
