Support for Colorants and Additives

We've expanded our supported plastic materials to include colorants and additives. Users can now list supply or demand for these materials on the Market, making it easier to find partners and move more types of material through the platform.

Improved Filtering Across the Platform

We've improved the filtering experience on the Network and within Core (Companies, Matches, Orders and Shipments). It's now easier to narrow results, adjust selected filters, and quickly find what you're looking for.

Instant Freight Quotes for All Users

All users - regardless of plan - can now get instant freight quotes from our trusted 3PL partners and book lanes with a single click, making logistics faster and simpler.

Expanded Support for Plastics

We’ve expanded our plastic material coverage beyond PE, PP, PVC, PET, etc. The platform now supports dozens of additional plastic materials, including engineering resins, elastomers, fluoropolymers, and thermosets.

All users can now list supply or demand for these materials on the Market. Intelligence subscribers can also receive suggested buyer lists and match notifications for them.

Market Filters

We’ve also introduced a new filtering experience on the Market, making it easier to narrow results using both typical and advanced material properties.

Updates to Private Offers

To make things easier to find, private offers sent directly to your company are now under My Activity in the left sidebar (previously under Market Supply).

Expanded Material Support - Preparations are Underway!

We’ve made a set of updates to prepare the platform for supporting additional raw materials (beyond plastics). While most changes are behind-the-scenes, you’ll notice a few improvements, specifically around Materials, Haves/Inventory, and Needs.

Improved "Create Material" Forms

• New search capability to find material properties faster.
• New, optional review step when creating materials.
• Support for uploading multiple images and other documents (such as TDS).
• Note: Creating a new material from the main menu is no longer available. You can still create materials by going to your company profile (left sidebar) and selecting New Material from the Actions menu. You can also create ongoing and spot materials as part of the New Inventory and New Have forms.

New Filtering for Materials, Haves, and Needs

• A new filtering experience makes it easier to narrow results by both typical and advanced material properties.
• Includes searchable properties, so you can quickly find the exact field you want to filter on.

Export Improvements

• All Exports along with the Activity by Material CSV which is part of Management Reports, now include Material Category.

Additional Notes

• Exporting your material list is no longer supported.
• Filtering by material properties is no longer supported in the Reporting module.

The Matium Market is now open!

The Matium Market - where buyers and sellers connect - is now fully open. All companies can now list supply and demand and transact for no fee.

• Visit the Market to view all active Supply, Demand, and Live Auctions.
• Intelligence subscribers can also view matches on their Core Haves/Needs with Public Offers/Requests under Suggested Supply and Suggested Demand.
• Click Buy or Sell from the Market page to share materials you want to sell or materials you need to buy with the Network.
• As always, simply open a listing and click Respond to place an offer/bid and start negotiating directly with suppliers/buyers.
• All of your negotiations and your company listings can be managed under My Activity.

All companies also now have access to Matium Core - the only free CRM and ERP built specifically for plastics.

• Core CRM and Core Operations are completely private to your company.
• Core Companies, Haves, Needs, and Matches can be found under CRM.
• Core Orders, Shipments, Inventory and Finance can be found under Operations.
• For legacy Core customers, note that your Core Dashboard and Core Materials have moved and can be found by clicking on your company name at the top of the left sidebar.

4,000+ AI Enhanced Leads (Beta)

Matium Core users can now access detailed profiles for 4,000+ companies across the plastics supply chain - including materials, services, locations, and buying/selling habits and specs.

Visit the Directory and click on AI Leads to browse the full list of AI Enhanced Leads.

• Apply filters based on location, materials and services to pinpoint specific buyers, sellers or service providers.
• Toggle between list view and map view.
• Click on an AI Lead to view detailed information including website, materials, services and locations.

Get intelligent suggestions based on your exact inventory and material needs.

• Create or view a Core Have or Inventory Item and visit the Suggested Buyers tab for a full list of companies that buy material similar to your item.
• Create or view a Core Need and visit the Suggested Sellers tab for a full list of companies that sell material similar to your need.

Matches on Public Listings

Matium is now generating matches between public supply and demand listings and Core haves and needs!

• Get notified when a public listing matches one of your Core haves or needs.
• Browse all of your buy or sell opportunities under Network Matches.
• Evaluate each opportunity based on material, price and location ratings.
• Find a good match? Respond to a demand listing with details of your inventory or bid on a supply listing with your best pice - all on platform!

New Look for Supply and Demand

Supply and demand cards just got an upgrade - the listing company is now front and center so you can see who you'd be dealing with at a glance.

Additional Notes

• Network Matches is now out of BETA and available to all users with a Matium Core subscription. We hope you'll check it out!
• Private Requests have been discontinued and will not move forward to a full release at this time. Thank you to everyone who tested this feature out and provided feedback.

Network Improvements

Declaring the Winner of an Auction

Auction owners can now declare a winner once an auction closes. A confirmed offer is then created between the auction owner and the winner, allowing them to exchange documents and finalize the transaction details.

Enforcing a Ceiling Price on Requests

When issuing an RFQ through public requests, buyers can now set a price ceiling, ensuring all bids meet or fall below their target price.

Network Search

All users can now easily search the directory, as well as all listed supply and demand across the Network, using the convenient search bar at the top of the application.

Core Improvements

This week's release is all about Core!

Lot Number on Haves and Inventory

• Core Haves and Inventory Items now include a dedicated field for Lot Number.
• You can also filter your Haves and Inventory Lists by a specific Lot Number or by those that do or don't have a Lot Number.

New Default Expiration Dates for Haves and Needs

• Administrators can now customize the default expiration date for Core Haves and Core Needs.
• Visit the Organization tab under Administration, go to Core Settings and select from the following options: 14 Days, 30 Days, End of Month.
• 14 Days will default the expiration date to 14 days in the future.
• 30 Days will default to 30 days in the future.
• End of Month will default to the last day of the current month if there are at least 14 days left. Otherwise, it will default to the end of the next month.

Reverse Auctions are Live!

• Reverse auctions allow buyers to share their material needs with the Matium Network in an open setting where all bidders see the lowest qualified offer price.
• Bidders can browse live reverse auctions and submit their material offers by clicking on Demand in the left sidebar and then the Reverse Auction tab.
• Reverse auctions will be added regularly so check back often to see the latest.
