Network Matches

Network Matches are live! Matium is now matching your incoming Network Offers with your Core Needs and your incoming Network Requests with your Core Haves to help you find your best buy and sell opportunities.

• Visit Matches under Network and rank your Network Matches by overall rating, price, location or material rating.
• Click on a match card to respond to a Network Request or a Network Offer.
• You'll also find Network Matches on the detail page for an individual Core Have, Core Need, Network Request or Network Offer.

Note: You must have an active subscription to Matium Core to view Network Matches.

Archive Core Contacts and Locations

Core users now have the ability to archive contacts and locations for their Core Companies.

• Visit a Core Company detail page to archive a location or contact that is no longer needed.
• To un-archive a contact or location, simply click the Archived toggle and select the items to un-archive.
• Note that archived contacts and locations can not be added to new Core Haves, Needs, Orders and Shipments. Archived contacts and locations will still be associated with existing Core items.

QuickBooks Online Integration (Beta)

Matium now integrates with QuickBooks Online (QBO) allowing you to create your bills and invoices in Matium and then push and sync directly with QBO for seamless accounting for your business.

• Administrators can enable the integration with QBO by visiting the Integrations tab under Administration.
• We are here to help! Reach out to us if you would like help setting up the integration.

Processing Inventory

You can now track the creation of a new inventory item (output) from one or more existing inventory items (inputs) via Process Reports.

• Track key metrics including processing cost, yield loss, processed weight and final weight.
• Matium will automatically update your inventory lists to reflect how much of each item was used during processing and how much is still in stock.
• Matium will also suggest a target price point for the new inventory item.
• Click on Processing in the left sidebar to create a new process report from scratch or start with an existing inventory item and select New Process Report from the Actions menu.

Network Reminders

All users will start receiving weekly emails summarizing activity they may have missed on the Network, including link requests and outstanding material offers.

• To opt out of the emails, visit your Personal Settings and uncheck Network Reminder Emails under Reports.

Financial Summary (Beta)

Matium now provides both a high-level look at your business's financials for the past 30 days along with a detailed look at all financial transactions logged in Matium Core.

• Click on Finance in the left sidebar to view key metrics for the past 30 days including current inventory value, total gross profit and average sale price.
• From Finance, click on Ledger, Payables and Receivables to view detailed transactions logged in Matium including material cost, material sale and freight costs.
• Note that financial transactions are always associated with shipments in Matium Core. Manage all line items on the Finance tab of a shipment's detail page.

Network Requests (Beta) is now available! Share your material needs directly with your private network and let them know exactly what you need to buy. Send offers to the right people by looking at the requests coming into your company.

Visit Requests under Network to send a new request out to your network and view requests sent to your company.

• You can only send and receive requests with companies you are linked with on Matium.
• Only companies subscribed to Matium Core can send requests. To check your subscription plan, Administrators should visit Billing under Administration.
• All companies can receive requests regardless of their subscription plan.
• You can respond to a request by sending a material offer to the requesting company. Note that all negotiations will take place on the offer, not the request.

Matches on network offers, the new Matium Magician email integration and more!

Matches on Network Offers (Beta)

Matium now matches Core needs with Network offers sent to your company, allowing you to evaluate the offer directly against active needs your company is tracking.

• When viewing a Network offer sent to your company, Core users will now see a Matches tab showing all Core needs that match the offer.
• When viewing Matches for a Core need, both Core haves and Network offers that match the need will be shown.
• An overall rating as well as individual ratings based on price, location and material specs will be shown.
• Click on a match to view estimated truckload profitability, carbon footprint and to respond to the offer.

Matium Magician (Beta)

The new Matium Magician makes it easier than ever to input your haves and needs into Matium. The Magician uses AI to extract relevant information directly from a forwarded email and creates draft haves and needs in Matium for you to review and publish.

• Simply forward or email the details of your have or need to magician@matium.io. Note that the email must be sent using the same email address you use to login to Matium.
• AI will extract as much relevant information as possible from the email and create a draft have or need for you to review.
• All drafts will be shown under the Magician hat in the top navigation bar.
• Select a draft to review and then publish the have or need, with a side-by-side view of the original email allowing you to fill in any missing details.

Note: Emails may be used to improve the functionality of the Magician AI.

Inventory Added to Have List under Opportunities

We heard you! Based on feedback from many of our Core users, inventory is now included when viewing haves under Opportunities. This allows Core users to view and manage all material lots for sale in one place.

• Inventory can still be viewed and managed from under Operations as well.
• Any existing saved views for haves will now include inventory.

The following improvements have been released.

• Notifications will now be pushed to users that are logged in in real-time.
• Core users now have the option to create a new order in Core on received offers once they are confirmed by the sender.
• Have cards now show an indicator when the have is a part of a group / combo load.

Offers Improvements

• Conversations have been added to network offers! Companies may now send messages to each other about sent/received offers within the platform. Click on an offer card and find "Conversation" on the bottom right.
• Filters have been added to the "Network Offers" page. Filter offers by status, offered by company, offered to company. You may also filter on offers that are "waiting on you" to take the next action.

Core Improvements

• Core users may now export haves, needs, orders, shipments and companies in CSV or XLSX format. On each Core page, find the "Export" button (on the right next to "Sort") which will generate an export file using the active filter set.
• When creating a new shipment, pickup and delivery details will now auto-populate based on the selected pickup and delivery location.

Network Improvements

• The Directory can now be sorted by number of links, company name or most recently added.
• You will now see your own company listed in the Directory as long as your public profile is enabled.

Core Improvements

• Sort order is now saved when adding a new saved view.
• When a material name is not provided, Have cards will display the grade, form, color and material type.
• A counter is now displayed on the Group tab for Haves and Inventory indicating that the material lot is part of a combo load.
• An issue when adding a shipment to an order populating sell price incorrectly has been fixed.
• You will no longer see your own company under Companies in the left navigation. Access your company's internal profile by clicking on your company name at the top of the left navigation pane.

Network Offers

Network Offers (Beta) is now available! Send, receive and negotiate terms directly on Matium.

Visit Offers under Network in the left navigation pane to send a new offer, view open offers and negotiate terms.

Keep in mind:

• You can only send and receive offers with companies that you are linked with on the Network.
• Offers are one-to-one, meaning an offer is shared with a single company, allowing you to set different terms for different companies.
• Once an offer is sent or received, you can negotiate weight, price and terms directly on the platform.
• If a deal is confirmed, contact information for the supplier and receiver will be shared allowing you to finalize logistics including shipping and payment.

Additional Enhancements

Generation of technical data sheets (TDS) now supports:

• Custom background and text color for the header of the TDS
• Specifying the country of origin and producer of the material
• Specifying additional information below the material properties

Network Links

You now have the ability to connect directly with other companies on the Matium Network. Links are the building blocks to setting up your own private network on Matium. Soon, you will be able to send and receive material offers with your links. Until then, get started building your network today:

• Browse the Directory to search for companies you do business or new companies you'd like to connect with.
• Click the Link button to request to link to another company.
• Click the Link Requests tab to approve or reject requests to link with your company.
• Once connected, you'll find your connections under the Company Links and Personal Links tabs.

Note that your company's public profile must be enabled to link with others on the Network.

Additional Enhancements

• Incoterms have been renamed to Shipping Terms. In addition, two new options for Domestic Terms have been added - FOB Origin (Picked Up) and FOB Destination (Delivered).
• When importing a company from the Network Directory to Core, Core users will now have the option to map the company to an existing company in Core.
• When creating a new shipment, tare weight will be auto-calculated if gross and net weights are specified. Gross weight will be auto-calculated if tare and net weights are specified.
• Material Name has been added as a filter when viewing Haves and Inventory.
• Core users can now delete and re-order saved views.

Carbon Emission Estimates

Matium now provides estimated carbon emissions (CO2e) for shipments and matches! Estimates are based on gross weight, distance from source to destination, and the emission intensity of the mode of transport (packaging).

• For shipments, the estimated carbon emissions are displayed on the shipment detail page.
• For matches, the estimated carbon emissions are displayed by clicking on a match and are based on the matching have or inventory item.

Additional Enhancements

• The Unit Conversion, Price Conversion and Freight Estimator tools are back! Access them from anywhere in the app by clicking on the toolbox icon in the lower right corner.
• Core companies now support conversations. Start a conversation by going to the detail page for any Core company.
• A shipment can now be re-assigned to a different parent order.
