Why we made this updated

Offering hookups and extra nights gives you a revenue boost, but they required diligence to keep track of them. That's why we've introduced managing extra nights in your calendar.

What’s the same

We still only ask you to provide members with one night complimentary without hookups. Extra nights and hookups are entirely optional, and if you do offer it, you are able to charge a fee and grant them based on availability.

As summer winds down, we’re excited to highlight some fantastic features designed to enhance your hosting experience. This August, we're providing updates that streamline your operations and improve communication with Members. Read on to see how these changes can benefit you!

Create an offline stay request

We gave Hosts the ability to manually add stays directly to their calendar through the platform for Members who may have made arrangements outside of the platform or for any other special circumstances. With just a few clicks, you can ensure your calendar is up-to-date and accurately reflects all scheduled stays, giving you greater control and flexibility in managing your hosting availability.

Download and print daily digest

We’ve made it easier for you to manage your bookings with the new "Download and Print Stay Requests" feature. Through the daily digest email, you can now easily download and print all your stay requests in just a few clicks. This feature is perfect for keeping a hard copy on hand, reviewing requests offline, or sharing details with your team.

Added hookup fees to their profiles

Hosts can now display any additional fees for water, sewer, and electric directly on Host profiles. This update allows Members to see and understand any extra costs associated with their stay before booking, ensuring there are no surprises. By clearly listing these fees on your profile, you help Members make informed decisions, leading to a more straightforward and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Warning message to members for last-minute cancellations

Members are now required to complete a brief survey when canceling requests on the day of their stay. This feedback helps us identify any issues or patterns and allows us to address concerns promptly.

Why we made this updated

As the days grow longer and hotter (hello summer solstice and heat wave!), we want you to enjoy summer in all its glory. That's why we've introduced extra nights and hookups at our Host locations. Our new improvements help you extend your stay, have more fun, and get that oh-so-good AC.

What’s the same

Your membership to Harvest Hosts still includes just one night complimentary at most locations. Some of our Hosts offer extra nights and hookups for a fee but we can’t guarantee them at every stay. Double check with your Host so you can plan ahead and budget accordingly.
