You can now quickly add customers on the POS with just a few required fields. Storing this data lets you easily segment customer lists from tasting room visits. Don't miss the opportunity to engage in follow-up email marketing campaigns with your visitors or be able to track past purchases. You can also optionally swipe to add a card on file for them.
Authorized orders now can have a separate view in Open Orders. Empower your staff to effortlessly oversee and confirm the completion of authorized orders at End of Day, keeping the open orders more easily accessible.
If one of your club members would like to be up on hold, you have the option to apply one of two hold settings to their profile. The previous version only offered a temporary hold option, requiring an end date. The new version introduces a permanent hold, formerly known as "Skip Shipment."
In certain scenarios, asking for a date of birth may be unnecessary. When you're sure the customer is over 21 and want to avoid compliance errors during shipping, we've got you covered. Our latest update introduces a convenient checkbox on the POS. By toggling on this setting in the customer profile, you can easily confirm their age is over 21.
Club members might have various reasons for temporarily holding their membership, and VinesOS has long been supportive of this feature. We have now enhanced our data system to accurately reflect this membership status. Going forward, these members will not be included in the 'Active' members export, providing you with a real-time overview of those set to receive the processed club for the cycle, including both regular members and those with gifted memberships.

When a member cancels your club, VinesOS seamlessly syncs this action to Mailchimp. The customer will be automatically added to your designated Mailchimp list for canceled members. This feature empowers you to communicate with this specific group in a targeted manner—whether offering promotional savings for rejoining the club or presenting alternative loyalty options like subscriptions. If they rejoin a club, they will automatically be taken off the Mailchimp canceled members list.
In your POS settings, you now have the option to include a customer identifier, such as a table number, on receipts. Enhance your POS experience by enabling this feature for clearer and more organized transaction records.
VinesOS has a new functionality to assist wineries in compliance with the recently implemented California Bottle Bill. Starting Jan 1, 2024, wineries are obligated to pay a CA Redemption Value Fee (CRV) for DTC sales in California. The new bottle deposit rates for California are as follows:
Check out how to pass along the CRV to consumers at checkout by toggling on a few settings in VinesOS.
Tenders are now available on the POS to track inventory that leaves the tasting room at no charge. The new feature is available with a default list of options at checkout like, "damaged", "donations", and "samples". This new feature is designed to provide you with more detailed visibility over your inventory and assist with tax reporting.
Also! In your POS settings, you can add tenders unique to your business and/or delete menu items that do not apply.
